“Last week I was home with my family and decided to order DoorDash an I seen this establishment pop up a decided to try them out we loved the food!!! so today me and my hubby took a drive to the restaurant, once we walked in then ambience was very relaxing. There was great music in the background and we were greeted immediately 😊 very professional employees again my food is amazing!!! I think I found my new go to spot! I’m so mad I only took a video of my food and no pictures to post…in my eyes definitely deserves more than 5 stars for my experience today.“

“Every time I'm in Hartford (live in Boston)I stop here and get some food. Chef gabe us sweet potato pie samples, it was great for dessert cause you know we bought it, it was delicious and soulful for sure. I love this place, good food takes time so relax and be patient and happy when you eat!

Vegetarian options: Some side items are meat free, they have fish and seafood Friday/ Saturday if you eat it.

“We had a great time, Tia was our server - top notch!-she knows the menu , ingredients and timing for serving. Our favorite was the rice and beans with glazed salmon.. wished for some distinction in the batters used on tomato vs cod ...this place has good fun vibe . We shall return.“

“Food is always on point. I ordered from the Sunday brunch menu and picked it up. The lobster omelette , lobster mac and cheese , chicken and waffle, lobster blt, Hennessey wings were all delicious. I would have given them a 4.5 if that option was available . Only gripe was time it took to wait for the order. Grub hub said it would be ready at 12.40. Got there they said give us 10 minutes. Food wasn't ready till 1.20. Also recommend adding restaurant on uber eats for those that might want to order that are farther away and do not feel like driving to pick up.“

“This is the best soul food place that I have ever eaten hands down. My fried chicken was fried hard and crispy my Mac and Cheese was cheesy and to die for. the potato salad o my goodness delicious! I almost forgot to mention the banana pudding is off the chain!.... stop wasting your money at these mediocre fast food joints go to Hot Pockets on Main Street in Hartford CT and get you some real food!“

“Today I decided to actually patronize this establishment after seeing many posts about it and my sister raving about it. I had the macaroni and cheese with jerk chicken and my son had the steak and cheese panini with a side of fries. All I can say is yum, yum, yum! The portions were plentiful and I only ate a third of my meal. I would like to Thank you and your staff Chef Walt, and I will definitely be back ( This time I will call ahead…lol…..although the wait was not long at all).“

“From my first contact with this venue to the last decoration being packed away, One Bar + Kitchen has easily become one of my favorite places. The memories curated and manifested for my daughter’s College Graduation and Hollywood Send-Off was absolutely incredible! Every single time I came in, called, texted with yet another detail or question, Eric, Chef, and the staff were gracious and attentive. Everyone in attendance had an excellent time, the food was phenomenal, and the desserts were delicious!!! Many lasting memories were captured and will be cherished by many!
