I was told that they don’t take KeyBank because a lot of customers returning payments. I was told to go to an ATM and pull out cash. Don’t take electronic payment if you fear People was going to return the payment. The sides was OK but the fish stink and it was overcooked like they use old oil. so I wonder why people do return their payment. the attitude from whoever was cooking the food in the back Was evident she didn’t want my business. She rolled her eyes at me and got mad At the girl in the front for allowing me to use my Apple Pay card. This was my first and last time coming in there. I was trying to support local businesses but I definitely will take that drive to mass next time for soul food cause ct soul food not that good.

The girl who takes the orders need to either not go to work if she gone have an attitude or change it your dealing with customers. Period. You picked that job, not us.. so work. Be polite, kind, and respectful…. You’re a worker, not a boss. In that order def will be calling and reporting the unprofessionalism of the employees at this place.

The attitudes with these females STINK worse than the fish they sell. I only came here for the chicken wings which are decent at most I guess. Just make your own Mac n cheese and cornbread ladies and gents save your time since they obviously don’t like business or respect.

Yams taste like orange juice. So disgusting I couldn’t even eat them. I had to throw them away. The lady attitude was rude and I will not go back to this place again.

Last week I was home with my family and decided to order DoorDash an I seen this establishment pop up a decided to try them out we loved the food!!! so today me and my hubby took a drive to the restaurant, once we walked in then ambience was very relaxing. There was great music in the background and we were greeted immediately 😊 very professional employees again my food is amazing!!! I think I found my new go to spot! I’m so mad I only took a video of my food and no pictures to post…in my eyes definitely deserves more than 5 stars for my experience today.

Food looked better than it tasted. This is what I get to support a small business based on a craving without reading the reviews. My mom honestly does better on her worst day. The owner is also rather delusional thinking you can talk to customers paying YOUR bills any type of way. Up your psych meds or get off the birth control - whatever you do just fix it. You don’t know who or what is gonna walk through the door. On top of that she was in the kitchen with no hair covering then she tried to check me about tasting a small piece of shrimp from my own food at the counter. Even with good service it still wouldn’t be considered anything near a premium restaurant. People keep it classy and don’t even bother arguing with trash. Lest she spit in your food. Keep it up though! You’re doing great.

Ordered through doordash and let me tell you..food came hot and fresh I got the pineapple shrimp!!! Mac and Candied Yams... Everything tasted delicious. So much food for now and later. Take the 5 stars it's well deserved me and my little one enjoyed.

I went last week to specifically get the salmon salad I had seen on google maps and let me tell you all something. They did not disappoint me at all. I've rarely heard mention of this place and at first glance I thought it was an Asian style restaurant. Boi was I wrong and in for a treat. A must visit for all who live in CT
