We choose Emily's Catering for our 10/3/2025 wedding and they were absolutely superb!! Their professionalism and attention to detail makes them stand out above their competitors. Chef Rick let us make the menu our own and was up for any changes we wanted to make, which gave us what felt like a fully customizable experience. We went with their dinner station options vs a sit down and our guests are still raving about the fresh and delicious food we had. Many of them told us it was the best food they had at a wedding and they loved that they could build their meals exactly how they wanted. There was so much food. I've heard many stories of wedding guests who barely got an appetizer during cocktail hours or the portions were so small at dinner they left hungry. This was not the case with Emily's. The price matches their value tenfold! We also had an ice cream sundae bar, coffee bar, and a hand pie/cookie bar. This particular area of CT has an early noise ordinance and Chef Rick made 5 foot Italian subs as a late night snack for us since most places are closed after 10pm.
As the bride and groom, it's difficult to get a bite in but the team made sure we had whatever drinks (including our custom cocktails) or food ready for us when we had a second to enjoy it. The team day of was extremely attentive to us and they did a gorgeous job setting up the tables bringing our vision to life. Additionally, Rick came to visit our venue before the wedding since it is a newer wedding venue in CT, which also made our venue feel very comfortable with a vendor currently not on their preferred list. Emily's just went above and beyond for us in every category and we feel so lucky to have had them cater our wedding.
I also NEED to talk about Cheryl, who is your main contact through-out this process so the chefs can focus on their upcoming events. SHE IS A GEM OF A HUMAN!! She is the quickest responder to emails and is highly detailed. Our success is directly in line with how attentive Cheryl was to our needs and making sure our needs were passed on to the rest of the team.

My fiancée and I just got married at Priam Vineyards on 8/23, and the comments about how great the food was are still coming in a week later. Ricky and Cheryl were an absolute pleasure to work with. Rick was transparent and easy to communicate with. When I first spoke with him, he said “I won’t be the cheapest option for you, but I will be the best value” and it was spot on. The appetizers are as creative as they are delicious. Some passed apps have drinks to accompany them and the guests had an absolute ball with this. I did not receive a single complaint about them.
For dinner, I had multiple guests come to me and say it was the best meal they ever had. The filet was perfect, the sea bass is an excellent fish choice and the chicken received rave reviews as well. Their dishes are fun, detailed, and cooked to perfection.
The desserts were honestly one of the highlights of the night. Their assortment of cream brûlée, tiramisu, lemon bars, etc. were a huge hit and well worth it.
But aside from the food, was stood out the most was the waitstaff and bartenders hospitality. They were so kind and genuine that I received so many comments about their genuine nature. They were prompt clearing dishes but also allowed gusts to enjoy their meal. The bartenders were so nice and did a fantastic job making our signature drinks. When you envision a wedding, you want your guests to have plenty of food and drink, and I don’t think a single guest left our wedding wanting anything more. Rick and Cheryl, it was an absolute pleasure to work with you and your team, and I hope everyone gets a chance to experience your company and all they have to offer.
