I stopped by this deli for a Turkey (Boar's Head) Grinder. It came in 3 different sizes, 6", 8" or 12". I got the 8". It had good bread and a great over all taste. They load the grinder with a lot of meat. I would get this again. I recommend calling ahead when picking up your order.

Called ahead and ordered a couple grinders today and was so angry. Got home and the meat on the roast beef grinder was RAW not rare, bloody, disgusting. My bread was all bloody. Who in the heck wants to eat a grinder like that. I literally had to take it all apart and cook meat in a pan and put on other bread I had at home. Waste of $15. If I could have posted a picture of this RAW meat I would have. Never again!

Not impressed. Have been going there for years & years, and won't go back again. Prices have gone up, and seems like the fillings have gone down. Bye George's.

I'm so disappointed with my grinder today. This is the skimpiest grinder ever gotten here. Lotta bread today barely any meat. 😫😫

Been coming here for 35 years. Not worth it anymore. Not sure what’s happening but the meat is 1/3 of what it used to be. Also the bread is stale and hard as a rock on the bottom. Goto Tommy’s place in the other side of town. It will blow George’s out of the park.

5 stars all the way i love coming here for grinders they absolutely stuff them and 100% get what you pay for going here on a empty stomach and after eating a grinder from here you are absolutely stuffed tons of little snacks to go along with your lunch or dinner the soda is always ice cold and never flat i also love the fact it was family run for many years and their still going strong by far the best deli in bristol

I recommend everything, it gets busy around noon but it's worth the wait in line for sure. even place your order and pick it up 15 to 20 mins later great family great service awesome food by far the best grinder shop in town. I do catch pops George in there from time to time but Tony and Mama are on their A game all the time. there is another guy who works with them also but I don't know his name but all super friendly. I'll see you all soon. lunch time comes fast when working right around the corner!!!..
This place continues to be my favorite lunch spot! The staff is super helpful and kind. I appreciate how clean the place is and the food is always fantastic! Definitely check this place out!

Great food, never fails to delight. Been a weekly patron for many years!
Parking: About 10 spots directly in front of building. Can also park large vehicles (buses or trucks with trailer) on the side street across from driveway!

I have never been so disappointment with a George’s grinder than today. I heard they have new owners so it makes sense but this trip will be my last! Barely any meat which is unheard of for George’s normally you bite the sandwich and half the meat falls off it’s so packed full. The rolls are now made smaller. Half a hard roll was 4 total bites. I understand inflation but 22$ for 2 hard rolls seems steep. It wasn’t even boars head meat just the generic ham they use. Georges won’t be my go to for sandwiches anymore unfortunately.

This is one of the best places to get a big (grinder)SUB. I got the combo and that thing was stacked . The grinder had ample amounts of meat fresh bread and veggies. I ordered it like this . Large combo lettuce tomato onions with roasted red peppers salt pepper oil vinegar.

I wish i had taken photos to share. We ordered from George's last week and really enjoyed our veggie grinders. We ordered again Monday night, 12/18 @ 5pm. The male who took our order over the phone seemed preoccupied, uninterested and i felt i was being rushed off the phone. When I opened my veggie grinder at home i found, well, let's just say thank goodness the bread was good because there was basically no veggies inside. I felt I was robbed of $10.45 . It's sad enough I'm paying $10.45 for a veggie grinder but to open it up to find almost nothing inside, WOW.I prefer to support the small, local, ma and pa businesses but i cannot support this kind of business. I realize it's mostly on the one employee who displayed poor customer service on the phone and maybe another one employee who assembled (or didn't) the grinder I ordered but they, as employees, represent this small business. It's really too bad because last wk's grinders were outstanding and it's convenient for us to come here.

I want to give a shout out to George’s Terryville Avenue Market ! I stopped in yesterday to get a veggie sandwich for my cousin who isn't doing so well. I told the guy behind the counter a little background about why I was getting the sandwich & that I had no idea what veggies she might want on it but she told me that veggie sandwiches from George's plain with just cheese were her favorite. I waited up at the register and decided to add an oatmeal raisin cookie for dessert. I had my card out ready to pay & he said it was on him! Such a kind, kind gesture. It actually brought tears to my eyes & happiness to my heart!!
