I had Greer’s while working at Bristol Hospital. I have never had chicken so good from a mom and pop restaurant. So good!

Found a STAPLE in the coleslaw. We ordered Thursday night and had left-overs Friday. I found the staple on Friday. Contacted the restaurant and was told "please try to call us right away when something like that happens so we can check our salads to prevent something like that from happening again." Pardon me, but I'm not your food safety check. They were willing to credit me a free pint of coleslaw (no thanks! Already found one staple!).

A classic. Best fried chicken in the state of CT hands down. My number 1 must have comfort food when I come from out of town. Chicken chunks…!!! Delightful! Some how even better cold from the fridge the next day (if they last that long..) chicken sandwiches on the harvest bakery hard roll, I dream of them! If you know you know, if you don’t, you should go and find out ?

Got an 8 piece assorted, fries, and mac and cheese. Everything was bland and dry. Like really bland which was unfortunate cause it looked delicious. The mac and cheese was okay but microwaved piping hot on the bottom and top and ice cold in the middle. The fries were fries. The children definitely needs a dip or gravy. But the chicken did taste fresh so at least there’s that ??♀️

I found the chicken to be bland. No seasonings whatsoever, not even salt and pepper. Would not be going back.

When did this place become terrible? I grew up in Bristol & Greers was always a staple for my family. I ordered recently for dinner - chicken chunks (plain and buffalo), a few pieces of fried chicken, fries, onion rings, a roll and cornbread and a slice of cake. The chicken chunks were dry & tasted as if they were either reheated or sitting. The fried chicken was incredibly dry & bland along with the piece that I had tasted off (hoping I don’t get sick!) The fries and onion rings were standard, the cornbread was decent and the roll was a Harvest Bakery roll so with that you can’t go wrong. The slice of cake which was $6.50 for a slice (WOW!) somehow seemed like a mix of cake and cheesecake, the bottom seemed to be a chocolate graham crust with mousse and a very dry cake on top. Overall incredibly disappointed as this is not the same Greers I had grown up on. Will not return… you can get better fried chicken at KFC or Popeyes.

I personally don't like the white & dark meat pieces but their BBQ buffalo wings are awesome and their sides are great as well.

Unfortunately maybe because it was close to there closing time the fried chicken had absolutely no flavor. The chicken bites where very gritty tasting. It seems like everything is fried in the same oil. The chicken and fries tasted exactly the same. I had to load seasoning to be able to eat them.
