I typically do not like leaving poor reviews for small businesses but feel it’s necessary this time. I purchased over $25 of pastries on 1/2/26. The cupcakes & brownies were days old stale and dry, the other items were stale too. I can only assume that with 1/1 being a holiday the pastries were at least 2 days old. Running a small business these days must be a challenge with the price of everything increasing but to sell customers stale food is not acceptable. This is not the first time it has happened here but it will be the last for me.

Picked up some point rolls for xmas eve. Not fresh, it's like they were prepped a day before. Grabbed a maple frosted cup cake . Must be a couple days old. It was hard..disappointing! Been a customer for years. Everything used to be fresh.

December 2025 - For those looking for boxed Christmas cookies, they have many in different sized portions. Revisiting, we bought their incredibly fresh sliced Italian bread as the whole loaf was sold out, and added 3 gingerbread men, a peanut butter chocolate ganache cupcake, iced apple turnover, and raspberry jelly doughnut to our order. Our one repeat item was the mini cheesecake.

October 2025 - Learning who the provider was for the Bristol Hospital on site Cafe, Ivy's Brewed Awakening, we decided to visit this bakery right around the corner. Impressive in terms of items available for consumers. Like kids in a candy store, we purchased too much, but these deep dives are always worthwhile. How else do you know what to buy again to your liking?
These favorites are personal, but for us the freshly made Italian bread and grinder rolls are worth going back for next time we're in town.
Thumbs up for the cherry turnover, plain mini cheesecakes, cannolis, chocolate ganache cupcake and glazed doughnut. There is still a Boston creme doughnut in the freezer to be reviewed.
The zeppoles were okay. Nice presentation. We preferred the ricotta to the chocolate. As someone who used to love to grab a cheese danish in Grand Central when catching a morning train, I'd give Harvest Bakery a 6 out of 10 in terms of the danish.
Overall, there are many delights to be found here. For locals, a place to go to regularly and for those when in town a place to stop in for your favorites.

Since I drive just short of an hour one way to my favorite bakery I have to say two strikes they’re out.
Today is the second time in a row my donuts were stale. Like day old stale.
My decades old love affair with harvest is over.

Ordered a Birthday cake. The frosting was delicious, and the cake was nice and moist. Will go back again.

So if it's busy - take a number. The tags are on the window frame of the middle window. Also if you want something special call them and order it. I wish I lived closer I would get a loaf of bread every day! They are delicious big loaves and many are under $3!

NOT ALLERGY FRIENDLY!!!
Before going inside to place an order, I went online and checked to see if they had options for dairy free cakes because of an allergy and their website states that they do bake cakes make to order for special diets and allergies. The girl up front said they don’t do dairy free cakes with eggs as it states on their site that they do. She then says they do vegan cakes then goes to the back and the baker says they don’t do vegan cakes. If that’s the case, their website needs to be updated because it’s false advertisement.
