A really super cute spot! Hand crafted fresh Cucumber Jalapeno margarita was delicious. Food was all so fresh! We will definitely be back.

The food is decent here. I always want it to have more flavor and taste better, but it's usually just OK. They do have a brand new chef, so I'd definitely give them a try again. New location looks nice. Nice drink menu.

First time we ordered take-out at Monterrey at their new location on North Main. The person on the phone took the order correctly as repeated it back at the end. When we picked it up they were very busy and behind schedule, so we had to wait an additional 15 minutes. The order was not correct- one entree was missing, and 3 of the others were all not as ordered. The steak and chicken in the tacos was grizzly. On top of it in looking at the receipt I was overcharged. So disappointed. Taking this as ‘a bad night’ I still gave it 3 stars because the empanadas and churros were very good— and for all the years on Riverside Ave where we enjoyed the food (& drinks). Unfortunately we will be hesitant to return. We see this so often, restaurants move and the food/service goes down. Hope its a fluke!

Monterrey’s new space is absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed sitting in the bar area, and we couldn’t have asked for a better meal here. The food came out quickly, and everything was so flavorful. The birria really impressed us, and the trio of sauces with the chips was a nice touch. Excellent drinks too! We’ll definitely be coming here again!

First time going, had reservations for 4 ,it was jamming at 6 , people kept coming in the whole time there.

Food is really good. Salsa and dips that range in spiciness level and flavors. Guacamole is fresh and the portion sizes are generous. The mole on the pollo poblano was rich and dark. The fried fish was crispy and tender. The $7 happy hour margarita was also tasty and strong! Would go back!

My husband and I have been going to monetary for a long time and we have been part of Bristol for a long time as well. Since monetary opened up down their new site, we have been there three times with our family.
My husband and I went there today for happy hour, and unfortunately, there was hair in our food. We discreetly told the bartender and the bartender, then replaced it and apologized and told us later on that it would be taken off the bill.. The manager found out the bartender took off the One item from the bill, even after knowing there was hair in our food and said “you ate the tacos, right?” We replied yes.
And she turned around and added back on the $5.
It wasn’t the point of the money it was the point the was hair in our food and we shouldn’t pay for that item.
We spoke to the owner Alejandra and she said she fixed it and took it back off and the same manager confronted us after and didn’t apologize but asked what my issue was and that I should be paying for my food reguardless if their was hair in it and said it’s not a big deal and we are the replacement.
Was horrible service, embarrassing especially when we’ve supported them for years and spent hundreds there. Disappointing…I do have the picture but I won’t put it on here

Love coming to this restaurant. In walking distance of where I live. The food is excellent. Never had a bad meal or drink. Awesome place. One of the best hidden gems in Bristol. Still enjoying coming here. They will be moving to new location in the Fall. Food is still excellent. Margaritas are awesome.
