Food is pretty good, but it's somewhat pricey for the type of place it is.

I've gotten take out twice now and the food is so fresh and delicious! I've only have the burritos but I'm sure everything is good! Definitely the spot for great fresh Mexican food!

It used to be better. They changed their birria recipe, and they’re not putting any cotija in the birria taco. The consommé was also bland even though it was a deep red color which is surprising but it has no flavor. Their birria tacos are packed with meat, but it needs the cotija and the consommé needs more flavor. Their supreme tacos are good. But the birria not so much.
Good food

I used to order from this place out of convenience because it’s not too far from where I work. It’s not super tasty Mexican food, but it’s there and it’s not Chipotle. However , after today, I will no longer be ordering from Plaza Oaxaca.
Today I ordered 1 tacos de birria and 7 street tacos. The meat was so tough that my children couldn’t chew it. Immediately after eating it, the food messed up our stomach. The tortillas were stale and even the lime wouldn’t squeeze out juice all it did was flake over the tacos.
The people that work here ( I think the man is the owner) are never really friendly. They just don’t appear to have pride in their food or their restaurant overall. I always kind of feel like I’m bothering them by ordering from them. As far as the food, the food lacks flavor, is not salted well and you can’t tell the difference between a lot of their meats. If you have nowhere else to eat your food, you’re stuck eating on a little table having to bear the awful smell of acetone from the nail salon next door. Sadly, the only thing that stands out is their Mangonada. Their mangonada is delicious. At this point, I would rather just go the extra mile and drive to plainville from now on whenever I crave Mexican

It gets very expensive, I asked for salsa on my taco bowl and they charged extra. There was no meat, it was very expensive for salad and rice
Vegetarian options: Not many vegetarian options but they do have beans and rice, and guacamole

IF I COULD GUVE AN ZERO, I would. , This place is the WORST, we ordered only rice & beans that was $15.01 we felt it was a lot but we still accepted the price . She wanted to know if we wanted pinto or black which we asked can we have both. She did not comprehend and some else came out she ok I understand . My husband I turned said you now give me two order that’s where the price for $15.01 came into play. We get all the way home with the food beans done spilled out. I opened it an it ONLY had beans in box styrofoam plates . I called this and the young lady said that what we asked for I said why the hell would I pay $15.01 for just some darn bean when they are $2.33 a can. She said bean and rice or the same price as beans only are you freakin kidding me. They need spill proof containers and pricing for part of order and to listen to customer request.

I really want to know what restaurant everyone else in the reviews is going to or what their standard is for Mexican cuisine because this is genuinely the blandest Mexican food I have ever had in my life. I have tried this place's food on three different occasions with it getting worse each time I tried it. I have tried Birria Tacos, Al Pastor Tacos, Elotes, Burritos, Churros and nothing surpassed a 2/10. The store itself is very nice and offers some nice products but the food is straight out terrible. I generally never feel the need to post negative reviews but seeing the overwhelmingly positive reviews on this place has left me legitimately gobsmacked. The food has no moisture, no spice and no flavor. Do yourself a favor and visit any local food truck for an experience that will be miles better.

Love the food and they place is very homey but the young gurl at the desk shes very rude with simple questions, also after spending almost $40 on food i ask about hot sauce and it is extra plus outrageous tax and credit card fees after i have left a tip I should expect at keas just a simple explanation and not a bad response about how its not part of my food.

I love this spot. It reminds me of certain corner stores that serve fresh food in Puerto Rico. The people here are very polite very nice and the food is delicious. Order anything and you will love it.
