Ate from their food truck at gastropark. Pierogies were amazing as was the homemade sour cream. The owner of the truck was very accommodating to my friend with Celiac so it is also gluten free friendly. Highly recommend !

Fantastic food. The cheddar stuffed hashbrowns were soo good, I had to get another. Very friendly and helpful staff!
Had the potato and caramelized onion pierogis and the chicken schnitzel sandwich and everything was delicious. Nick the owner was so nice! Greeted me with a smile and explained everything that came with the pierogis ♥️ he made my entire day with his kindness honestly
Amazing borscht! Great crew!
Nick and crew are awesome. Made a great veggie option for me. Above and beyond sausage! @legitmus
The food was good, but not really anything to write home about. At $18, I was really expecting a treat out of the Schnitzel Sandwich, but it didn't really wow me at that price. The pickled vegetables weren't very pickled aside from the onions (the portion was also quite sparse) and I didn't really taste any sauce. The cook on the chicken was very good as was the breading.
Again, for $18, the Perogies were... Fine. I didn't really see where my $18 went on that one. The apple butter was fine and the sour cream was fine. With no intention of being rude, I couldn't really tell the difference between these and something I'd get at trader joes out of a bag. Just being honest here, but i'm also not a perogies expert.
Ticket time was good. The point of contact said 15 minutes and it was 20 minutes which is totally acceptable, especially for a food truck.
All in all, I wouldn't recommend this truck simply because of the price tag. If I had paid even $14 each, I might not have even bothered to review, but at $18 each I wasn't impressed with what I received and felt the need to say something. Thanks anyways.
Response to the owner:
I can certainly appreciate where you are coming from and far be it from me to stand in your way, however the costs you speak of work in both directions and at $18 per entree at a food truck, there's an expectation of amazing flavor which simply did not deliver. I certainly appreciate the time and energy you put into your craft, but if the end result is the same as a lower cost option, i'm not sure there are many who would choose to pay more, especially in our current climate. I would urge you to reconsider your practices should your P&L statement tell this story. That being said, I wish you all the success in the world.
This food is amazing, amazing service with a smile , one of my favorite spots for lunch

Delicious food, quick service, and the staff are super friendly. I'm pretty sure these are the best pierogis I've ever had. The fall squash pierogis are perfect. Highly recommended! It's great to see so many tasty vegetarian options.

My personal experience has always been great at this food truck. The gluten free chicken schnitzel sandwich as well as the hash brown are unique and amazing! The customer service has always been great for me and my husband.

This food truck opened in 2021 by Chef Nick Valentina. The type of food served is eastern European. The name Smetana is from a type of sour cream that is a traditional food from Central Asia, Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe. The food is cooked to order with quality ingredients. The menu changes with the seasons.
I saw this food truck at Gastro Park in West Hartford. I decided to order a kielbasa hot dog ($12) which had sauerkraut, black garlic whole grain mustard, on a brioche bun. This was a superb! It tasted very fresh, I love the mustard, it added a nice flavor and texture when combined with the sauerkraut. I wanted to try out their pierogies, it sounded delicious but I wanted to get something else at another food truck. The portion was a little small for the price, that is the only constructive criticism. Overall, a great food truck with delicious food and friendly people.
Never had pierogis before and this place made me love them. So delicious!!! Owner is also very nice.

The best pierogies we ever had! Grandma would be ecstatic! Cooked to perfection! Delicious with their homemade apple butter and cultured sour cream. They included a milky creamy fudge for a treat! Highly recommend. If you like pierogies, you will love these!

We just biked 20 miles, lucky we found it!! My husband thought the pierogi tasted like his Babcia! Chicken sandwich was like nothing else I’ve ever had, delicious!! Look for this truck, you will love them ❤️
