Market Place Tavern - Brookfield

Extremely small inside strange how they have it separated into almost 2 restaurants. Not a comforting layout. Food was overpriced and extremely small portions. The only thing that was good was the service. Probably won’t be back due to the high price and small portion sizing.

It's cozy. We've eaten there several times. The truffle tater tots were a bit greasy and too much truffle for my liking, but overall food is good.

The food comes out fast but not the best service. If you are on a time schedule or don't like waiting 30 minutes to be seated and another 30 for your food then I do not recommend coming here. Pretty disappointed. The reason I only did three stars is I think the food is very over priced

This has become our amazing go to restaurant near Brookfield. My husband and I first discovered this little gem when we were looking for homes in the area. It didn't look like anything fancy, but cute, quaint and clean. That worked for us. We expected a burger and fries. But wow! What an amazing place this is! It all starts with the manager John, who I wish I could adopt or marry LOL The wait staff is fantastic. The food is incredible and so much more amazing than you could ever anticipate. The brussel sprouts with prosciutto, burrata and fig is out of this world, and we have literally tried about half the menu already and one thing is just better than the next. They don't just give you food, they prepare it with bursting flavor and abundant volumes of food. It's very difficult to eat an entire meal there without bringing home half of it at least. We now travel an hour and a half just to get up there from our home in New Jersey, and it's well worth it. This is definitely our favorite, reasonably priced and super duper happy place! You just have to try this place and it will become your favorite too!

I think we arrived when they opened. The floor was sticky and they were already out of items on the menu. The waitress was lovely though!

Please keep John on at the Brookfield location- this was the BEST experience we've had in many times coming and it was due to his welcoming presence... and also his AMAZING strawberry Manhattan! I could have had 12 of those - thanks John for a great evening!!!

Taco Tuesday - ordered the beef tacos - dripping with grease - couldn’t even pick them up they were so wet with grease - the salsa was too spicy for the chips too - one of the worse meals I’ve had in years

My friend and I dined there 4/23 around 4pm. The restaurant was pretty empty so we told the hostess/server that we would be dining by the bar. When we sat at a table by the bar he said, “Wow you you threw me for a loop, I thought you were sitting at the bar.” I asked another server to clarify whether these tables were bar tables or not, she said that’s yes they are bar tables, but typically reserved for larger parties. She reassured us that we were fine where we were sitting and we don’t have to move. We sat for a few mins and had to ask one of the bartenders for a menu, because the other server took the other menus away. We finally got water & asked if we could order. One of the servers/bartenders came to take our order, we asked if we could order wings. She said “we’re low on wings, but if you want to order a full size, we can do that.” My question is are Happy Hour wings different from Main Menu wings? It was just a very disappointing experience. This is maybe my 6th or 7th dining experience in the last few months and this experience has made me not want to come for either Happy Hour or Dinner in the main dining room. We ended up paying for our drinks and left within them more than half full due to the (lack of) customer service.

We love it here. Always good food and great staff. Kids love it as well especially when I say were going to Market Place.
