Market Place Tavern - Brookfield

Like the overall building, the menu isn't large. But all of the items seem to be interesting to try. The seared ahi was fresh and cooked just right. There's a somewhat separated area with a bar and a couple of tv sets playing sports. Service was fast and polite.

Ordered rigatonti through Door Dash. Delivery was horrible. Specified for a hand the food to me at my unit and effort 2 or 3 attempts the woman finally got in after doing the proper thing to look me up on the intercom so I could buzz in and then she went left the food at the unit next to mine rather than hand it to me at my unit. Then I look at what marketplace gave me and didn't even give any bread or anything else with a pretty expensive little dinner. I'm finished with the both of them I wouldn't give you a nickel for them.

We were dining woth new friends and had the corner booth in the bar, closest to the kitchen. The speaker above my head was very loud but the server had no issue turning down the volume

I’ve been going here for a long time because it has the best service and vibes in area. John the manager is by far one of the best managers in the state, hands down. Class act and just great guy to know and be around. Emily the bartender is also awesome. Aside from that reason why I wrote this review is I truly think they may have the best wings in CT. I go to Archie’s and Tks all the time. Market place tavern wings are so much better! So much bigger and juicier and tastier. With food costs going up, food quality has gone down. There wings are bomb. Also their happy hour is amazing. Not that many place still do happy hour. If you go and meet John, tell him Joe sent ya!

I met my friend for lunch and we sat outside on the patio. We both had a salad topped with salmon. Within two hours, we were sick with food poisoning symptoms. Beware!

This is to let you know that Marketplace Tavern in Brookfield, CT is closed for Renovations. It was weird that I was able to make a reservation for my boss and her colleagues ~ they arrived and the one person they found in the restaurant said "we are closed" ... they explained we made a reservation "oh" .... "sorry" .... It might be a good idea to let OPEN TABLE know they are closed. Thanks. I should have called and "confirmed" YIKES!
