This really was a treat as the sun finally came out and we were able to sit on the patio on the last Summer weekend before they close. Great Service and lovely food. One has to try the calamari.

Whenever boating on Candlewood Lake with friends we always stop at this classic restaurant on the lake. Service is attentive, food is good, plenty of choice for fish lovers and non fish eaters. Blackened Mahi Mahi, salads was delicious. Great lake views wherever you sit. Lots of seating on all levels. Service is attentive and friendly.

Really nice place to sit on the water and have good basic food like fish and chips, burgers, and salads. Service was great , quick and efficient. We brought out of town guests and they enjoyed sitting by Candlewood Lake.

What a great spot on Candlewood lake we pulled up In the boat and even on Labor Day Weekend we got a spot . Food is delicious . We had the baby salad with lobster, scallops, and shrimp, a mahi mahi sandwich , and bang bang shrimp tacos . Service was great and atmosphere was perfect .

First time back in long time. Our waitress was wonderful, the atmosphere, great. Clam strips could use beefier clams, Philly cheese steak, great! The older woman working the seating could use some lessons in being friendly rather than a brute. If you can't be nice, don't work with the public. Customers pay your salary.

I wish I could suggest this place. I've gone here for most of my childhood and adult life. Past 3 times I've eaten here, I've gotten food poisoning. One or twice I can chalk up to bad luck. 3 times though is indicative of larger issues. Food portion sizes and quality has decreased drastically since the late 2010s
The food here is about average, which is acceptable. I had a burger which was a good size and tasty. The nacho platter with pulled pork and ask the trimmings was good as well.The location and views are second to none in this area. I can't actually think of a more beautiful spot to have a meal within 45 minutes of this location.

Great place if you want to have a great time to catch up with friends or family. Sit down eat and/or drinks. It is a loud atmosphere and obviously it is outdoors. The drinks are great, the quality of food is good. Summertime is the most popular time for this restaurant. It's a local community favorite for most. Worth to try it out the environment to experience if you're adventurous! Menu changes each year, so does for some pricing.

We enjoyed the lunch, the waitress was lovely, the atmosphere is great. The only complaint…very small portions for the money. Two guys leave after $80, still hungry. They need to be a little more generous with the portions. Salad was $2.25 additional, very small, small portion of fries, small calamari for $15. We work with food, so we know. Don’t scrounge on the portions. Otherwise great.

The hatch is a solid place. Had a burger, it was pretty good, no complaints. I have to say in the right owners hands that place could be so much more! It has the location, the onky place on the lake! It should be the place to go Thursday through Sunday in the entire area. They should have a DJ and bands in there regularly to get more people 8nnthe door. There just aren't good places to go for us adults anymore and this place could knock it out of the park if they chose to!

My husband and I went for a late lunch.We sat for approx 10 minutes, the waitress came over and took our order. She brought water out 5 minutes later.Our food came out in a reasonable time from a runner working the kitchen.We now have hot food with no silverware or napkins. We ate our french fries and waited...Waitress never showed back up to check if everything is ok. We finally saw her and had to flag her down, she brought silverware, and we never saw her again until we flagged her down for the check.Nice atmosphere, but the service really diminished it. We may try again and just sit at the bar.
