I try to give any restaurant and staff the benefit of the doubt, but the service at this bar is really awful. The bartender gives out the checks immediately after you are served. We sat at the bar and ordered a drink and takeout and our check was given to us before we even had 2 sips of our drink. I watched another couple get served their check in the middle of eating their dinner, and another couple that was given a check while eating their appetizer. I’m not sure if that’s the company protocol or if that’s just this one bartender, but it’s a really bad practice that makes people feel rushed and like they need to pay and get out and can’t order anything else. We would’ve loved to have another drink but had a check placed in front of us and were never asked if we wanted a refill.

Always a good experience here!! I get the chicken tacos everytime and i’ve never been disappointed. The black beans that come with the dish are to DIE for, next time I’m going to get an extra side of them. I always recommend this place to friends and family visiting us in CT!
