This is an interesting place with a local New England Italian restaurant vibe to it. Which makes sense.
We drove a bit to get there, I was attracted by the Wood-Fired pizza oven. I was craving good, crispy Neapolitan pizza. We walked in, asked for a table, we were told that the dining room was too full to take us so they insisted on seating us in the bar. It was a nice comfortable booth, but the issue was the horribly out of tune lounge singer they had in there singing the greatest hits of the '50s through the '90s. Cheesy drum track, piped in background vocals and the guy just couldn't seem to hit any of the notes that he's strived for. If it weren't so loud, it wouldn't have been so bad. That's why I gave them only a three for the atmosphere. Dining room is probably very nice.
Girlfriend had a delicious short rib and mushroom lasagna with cream sauce, I opted for a Wood-Fired pizza capricciosa. The pizza was, to my standards, pretty disappointing. Nothing special about the crust, and way too much cheese and toppings. Unbalanced and unspecial. I think that if a restaurant is going to go to the expense and trouble of having a Wood-Fired oven, the pizza they produce should honor it, and this pizza did not.
The bread that they served at the table was probably typical for this kind of restaurant in this area, but I would describe it as having the texture of angel food cake.

Had a great meal here tonight! Ordered calamari, fresh pasta in the cheese wheel! And rigatoni pink vodka! Ended with tirimisu and espresso martini!
Have been wanting to come here for a while but never had the chance. Tonight was the night, and it did not disappoint. Live in washington depot, and the drive wasn’t to bad. One of the best Italians in the area! Thank you for everything, and you will see us again. ❤️

Was not aware this level of authenticity existed in Italian food while living in small town called Brookfield.

Great food!
Excellent variety of food. The Tuna was fresh and cooked perfectly and the flavor of the veal chop was amazing. A great local place that never disappoints.

Never brought our wine and totally butchered the steak. Had the chance to redeem but did absolutely nothing. Won't be back anytime soon. Poor customer service.

A friend, my sister and I, sat at a booth in the bar area. Our waiter was very nice, attentive, and prompt. The food was so delicious! We have dined there several times and always want to return for another meal!!

My wife and I visited this Italian restaurant yesterday and were immediately impressed by the clean, modern vibe as soon as we walked in. The space felt welcoming and upscale without being stuffy. A gentleman greeted us at the door and brought us straight to our table—no waiting, no fuss.
The staff was on point the entire time. Super attentive without hovering. They made sure our water glasses stayed full and cleared plates promptly between courses.
My wife ordered the meatballs with ricotta, and they were rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I went with the chicken francaise, served with risotto—and let me tell you, the risotto was cooked to perfection. Creamy, tender, and seasoned just right. The francaise sauce was light, buttery, and didn’t overpower the dish.
Food came out quickly, hot and fresh, and every bite showed attention to detail in the kitchen. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine done right.

Brookfield’s best kept secret! Everything about Pulcinella is exceptional—the food, the service, and the atmosphere. The dishes are authentic and full of flavor. They have something for everyone from pasta and seafood dishes to delicious wood fired pizzas. This restaurant is a hidden treasure in Brookfield, and once you find it, you’ll keep going back!
