If I could give 0 stars I would. The service was absolutely horrific. 1 hour wait for 2 BLT’s… when I asked the staff at the desk what is going on they attacked me & said I “didn’t know what I was talking about” “that I personally didn’t know what happened but neither did she.” I now have to pay my babysitter additional hours because I waited over an hour for food I paid for. They did have a sign on the door that stated they were short staffed but if you’re that short staffed you should not be opening your doors. Excuse after excuse when I asked where the food was, although they did refund me my bill they made it seem like it was my fault that the “new girl” messed something up. If you mess up - make it right and have a positive attitude about it do not attack the customer for your lack of doing.

I’m not usually the type to leave reviews, but this one definitely needs to be said.
I visited this café recently, and while the atmosphere was really nice and the food was pretty good, my experience at the counter left a lot to be desired. When I was in line, there was a young girl with a braided ponytail who was speaking to the woman in front of me in a very unprofessional and rude manner — saying things with an attitude and even asking for a “generous tip” in a way I’ve never seen before. I honestly wasn’t sure if it was a friend or family member she was talking to, but if that was a joke, it definitely shouldn’t be happening at the register.
When it was my turn, I ordered something super simple — just a plate of eggs and cheese — and she made it way more complicated than it needed to be. I was also charged $12 for something that usually costs me $6. When I politely brought that up, she responded with attitude and told me she doesn’t set the prices. The whole thing just felt really unpleasant and unnecessary.
I even had to ask for her name, which she eventually told me was Maddie. I’m sure she does her job well behind the scenes, but if you’re going to be working the register and interacting with customers, you need to have better communication and professionalism.
This café has a lot of potential — but moments like this can really take away from the experience.

Came here to pancake dots and a cappuccino, cappuccino was amazing and served in a timely manner and looked AMAZING!! - the service was wonderful had a sweet girl Katie served me, made me felt so welcome which I appreciated it being a first time customer.

We just found our new favorite spot! Great food, great drinks, great service, and great atmosphere! No exaggeration, this place is fantastic.
There are tons of seating options, including a longer table in case you want to meet a group of people here. I didn't bring my laptop on my first trip here (I will be tomorrow, though!) so I can't speak to the quantity and convenience of power outlets, but plenty of people were working from here with a drink or tasty meal next to them.
Every single member of the staff we interacted with were A+. Although #theCafe is located in a newer construction building, it had an old school, small town feel to it -- I absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back.
If I lived in one of the apartments or condos within walking distance, I'd probably be here every day they're open!
#theCafe is a much needed, stellar addition to Brookfield.
This is my go to place whenever I have time before work or on my days off to grab a coffee and some breakfast. The staff are so friendly and already know what I want when I come in, my go to is an iced bravi. Love their breakfast and lunch options and are decently priced. Great location and I love to sit in there and do homework. Brought my whole family to try it because it’s that good. Have gotten lunch here to catch up with old friends multiple times, my top recommendation for when looking for a place. I wish they were open on Sundays cause I’d be able to go even more!
