The best coffee roaster I've had the pleasure of trying. Coffee snobs will appreciate their quality. Cafe is small, but quite inviting. You can sit out on the front porch, too. Love their breakfast burrito because it seems to have been assembled by someone with an engineering background. Desserts are also excellent. Staff are all pleasant, competent, and knowledgeable about their products. I wish them nothing but success.

My wife and I took a small trip to visit Giv as I've read many great reviews and we're looking to branch out and try new coffee roasters around CT. I really have to say the customer service was absolutely excellent. Long story but I had ordered a bag on the Giv website early last week that USPS accidentally sent to South Carolina and it is still enroute back to CT. There were 2 roasts that really piqued my wife and I's interest, and unfortunately neither were on the floor available for us to purchase during our visit. I did not get the gentleman's name who helped us, but he went out back to the roastery to prepare a bag for us while we waited. It was incredibly kind of him to do that, and he didn't want us to leave empty handed after making the trip. We tried the roast this morning and it is some of the best we've had. Safe to say we were so impressed all around! Thank you again you made our day!

I’m here 1-3 times a week…past few times I’ve been in here staff is just not friendly. Just walked in today (Thursday) both girls look up but don’t say a word….30 seconds go by and I hear “be right with you” idk if she was talking to me or the machine she was staring at? Then after my order gets taken and I take my card the girl at register doesn’t even say thank you. $6+ for a coffee plus a $1 tip and can’t even get a thanks, see ya, have a good day?

Careful attention to preparation of every drink I've had here. Always new coffee gear on shelves and a consistently varied supply of beans. Can count on vegan and gluten free confections, so if like me you often have to stop with non coffee people (looking at you, kids) in tow they won't mind at all.
Entire shop has homey feel - if your home is roomy, sleekly furnished, and always generally immaculate.

We love this coffee shop. Great coffee, friendly and accommodating staff, and they have a couple gluten free treat options as well (the gf peanut butter cookie is SO GOOD)! Adorable inside seating and decor, and cute, casual outside seating despite the busy road. Highly recommend!

I went into Giv for the first time this morning to pick up some whole bean coffee, have an Americano, and experience a proper cafe/roaster for the first time.
The staff were incredibly friendly and really seemed to be enjoying the work that they were doing, which made the whole atmosphere super welcoming. I ordered an Americano which was incredible, and looking around definitely gave me confidence that the other drinks were equally good.
They have a good selection of whole coffee beans and I really appreciated that they had some pour over gear from Hario (Switch and V60 kits, plus filters). Being able to pick those up locally and support a local business rather than Amazon is a huge plus.
10/10, I hope to become a regular there.
Loved the stroopwafel latte. Literally one of the best lattes out there.

Cozy place, tasty coffee, chill atmosphere. Update 4/1/25: We've been going here for 7 years. It is still cozy. The coffee is great and ethically sourced. The atmosphere is chill. The staff and owners are just great! The new food and treat selections are awsome. My favorite place for coffee and Chai tea. A nice short side trip off the bike trail.

The owners are amazing people! The coffee is ethically sourced, and Giv really puts a genuine effort into its relationship with coffee farmers. Donating $1 from every bag sold is such a great way to support nonprofits around the world. The employees who cook/bake really put a lot of effort into what they're doing too.
I served Freedom and Azahar Decaf at my wedding (highly recommend ordering ground Giv Coffee for any event) and guests could absolutely tell the difference between Giv and gross brands.
