My family and I just went here for dinner yesterday evening, as we thought it would be a great place to celebrate a birthday! Being that we’ve known one of the owner’s wives (as she was our family hairstylist for many years).. we always love to support in any way. I am gluten intolerant. I had ordered the gluten free pasta for the “Cacio e Pepe” dish…our waitress was very good in asking me if it was a gluten allergy, which I told her yes I’m intolerant. We got our food and I did not eat much as I was extremely full and starting to get a little bit of a stomach ache, so I had most of my plate packed for takeout. Later last night I had heated up my leftovers and as I was eating it I noticed a bucatini noodle in it. That is what it’s originally served as, which is NOT gluten free. I’ve had a stomach ache along with other symptoms all night which is very common for me if any gluten touches my food! Absolutely NOT okay. Letting this be known because others could have it worse as far as symptoms! If I had ate that noodle it would have been far worse. Very unacceptable and the kitchen staff should take better measures in ensuring gluten free dishes to those who request it!
It was my first time there. Now I have to make it a stop on my trips through the town.
Food was just average. Better spots for authentic Italian.
The food was delicious, and the service was amazing, as well as fast
My husband, adult daughter and I reserved a table for dinner last night. I have been here before and have always enjoyed my food, the service and the ambiance. I took my husband for the first time and it was so disappointing. We ordered cocktails and appetizers and decided to put our dinner order in at the same time because it was very busy. We received our drinks and shortly thereafter our appetizers. Before we finished our appetizers, our entrees were delivered and we were trying to make space on the table for everything because we hadn’t finished our apps. In retrospect I should have asked them to not give us our entrees just yet because we were still working on enjoying our appetizers. I honestly don’t like to complain though, so I didn’t say anything. It felt very rushed and we ended up not eating half of our entrees because we really didn’t have time to enjoy them. My husband ordered the braised short rib and left half of it. Our server was nice but kind of oblivious to the fact that we were not enjoying our meals. It then took forever to wrap up and get the check. I appreciate that on a busy night you are trying to accommodate many guests and turn tables but feeling so rushed really affected our experience.
Food was awful- I was expecting good, but received awful to mediocre.
I was called previously to confirm my Mother’s Day brunch reservations for 8 people and 1 toddler. I explained this not only on open table but verbalized to staff when confirming.
We arrived to a very tall booth for 8 guests, since the booth was tall we couldn’t have a high chair so we were told we could use a booster seat. The issue was the booster seat couldn’t be secured to a seat due to being in a booth and also was broken and couldn’t be secured over our toddler. We asked for another booster seat and it also was broken when trying to fasten our toddler into the seat around her waist. Just FYI to patents: a tall booster seat won’t secure your LO in so maybe a tall booth isn’t great for families with LO.
Our food was great and our waitress was very attentive but we were so crammed in the booth, that if we ever had a large party we probably would go elsewhere but for a date night or small group it’s a great place to eat!
The grilled salmon, lasagna, and octopus are must-tries here—highly recommended!!

In my opinion, as an Italian expatriate here in Connecticut one of the best Neapolitan pizzas in the whole area. Soft, fluffy dough, high pizza cornet. Also high-level cooking. Pasta cooked al dente. Excellent products.
Impeccable service with two Italians running this restaurant

We really enjoyed our dinner here. The Cesar salad was delicious and I was really happy the chicken was organic. The pizza was also very good.

Nice places located in the Farmington Valley shops. Friendly services.
Food is good, and gets a 4. We ordered both pasta and pizza. I cant say pizza was that great as it came to my table just barely warm. Pasta was very good, especially cacio e pepe.
Overall a good dinner, but pretty pricey.

Made for a complicated situation with a member of our party who was, then wasn’t, then was joining us. The staff was incredibly accommodating in switching our table to make room for one more, even after drinks and apps were served. Our original server, Will was so understanding even when they had to switch our server along with our new table. He made the transition smooth for us. Food was prompt and very tasty. All 5 members of our party enjoyed their apps and dinners. Will definitely return

We enjoyed our first visit to Mercato. Service was great. Lots of good menu options. We really liked our choices of main dishes - a buratta pizza, pappardelle pasta, and the rigatoni pasta special of the day. We thought the field greens salad with garlic dressing was just ok. Wine and mocktails were good and the bread with olive oil was so good and perfect to soak up extra pasta sauce. We liked the whole vibe of the restaurant.
Unfortunately, I have yet to have a consistent experience here... however one thing that is consistent are the flies. I think it comes from having the windows open at lunch service but every time I have eaten dinner here, I have had to swat countless flies away from the table and food. It's really not pleasant. Service was ok. Waitress was attentive and prompt. Food comes out really quickly. I have a pet peeve about still eating my appetizer when the entrees show up and that's always the case here. There's no breathing room between courses. We even waited to put our entrees in after our appetizers arrived and this still happened. Food is tasty, not overly salty, and there are some great specials usually. Drinks are always great, and the mocktails are yummy too. It's a solid option for a quick and tasty dinner out, but please do something about the flies and the timing of courses.
We had a wonderful experience. From the greeters to the waitstaff, from the food to the outdoor patio experience - it all was very well done. We went for our anniversary, and our dessert came with a flaming candle! Nothing but kudos !!
