Prices are outrageous but when customer can not get a chicken cutlet ( when are for sale) on a roll with mayo because it's not on sandwich board…..even willing to pay $15 but girl behind counter said no. We usually leave paying $60-$100 for takeout. A piece of prime rib was $35 and half of it was fat. People buying have more money than good culinary palates or brains. Store is nicely appointed and the girls at register are very nice.
But that was last time since they obviously don't care what customer wants or need our business.

Everything was pretty great until I got my sandwich home and realized that the egg wasn’t even cooked at all almost not even over easy. It looked way too raw to consume for that price. I mean, they should’ve at least cooked a sandwich Correctly. Most people know when an egg is safe to eat and not. But otherwise, everything else is pretty great. If you’re going to order an egg sandwich. Make sure you say you want it well done… Pretty sure if I eat this, it would’ve given me salmonella
Extremely clean and well oriented.

As is the case with many quaint Connecticut villages, they Cooked Marketplace caters to those who don't look at the cost of things when they buy.
Its offerings, however, from premade sandwiches to ordered deli sandwiches and all kinds of interesting types of things to drink, it is a place where you can feed yourself, perhaps, buy nice foodie gifts for friends or to take to a host of a party.
Great ambiance and very friendly folks working there. Of course, they have all kinds of delectable chocolates right near the cash register that you can't resist grabbing.
All in all, a great spot to stop, even if a touch pricey.

The owner took the time to teach us about the products, let us sample, and had a great conversation with us. I encourage you to try this place, truly quality items throughout.

Customer service is a hit or miss. It depends on who is feeling friendly. I love the place for gifts and chicken curry salad. However, the portions a lacking. Got two Beef Bourguignon at 24.50 each. My husband’s had one tiny piece of beef. Mine had 3.
The mashed potatoes took alot longer to cook than the directions state.
Be thankful I didn’t leave a review about the overpriced horrible prime rib we got a while back. As a local I know I have many places to pick from. Will think twice before stopping back in

The turkey sandwich is simple but incredible. The combination of the tomato jam, homemade lemon aioli, crisp bacon, gooey cheddar and curry dusted turkey breast all held together by a fresh toasted ciabatta, is the perfect bite. At first glance I was disappointed at the lack of vegetables, but upon tasting it was pleasantly surprised as it is truly tastes like a Michelin star of a sandwich.

I recently had the eggplant parmesan. The eggplant was tough, the sauce was watery. The ingredients said it had shallots in it,though I'm not sure why, but in actuality they were onions. It was pretty tasteless and lackluster. I was expecting better. 😕
Latest score:fabulous turkey wrap with fig jam, chicken pot pie-out of this world, and winter citrus salad sitting on a surprise bed of endive leaves, perfect vessels for the walnut-dusted feta balls!

Excellent food. Great service. This will be a weekly stop. Hot and ready to order food selection is very nicely displayed.
Have stopped in to Cooked several times in the past month and the food and packaged goods, while pricey, are of a very high quality. However, there is one young female employee who needs to work on her attitude and customer service. A few days ago, she was snippy towards me at checkout, not saying thank you or goodbye— literally throwing my receipt in the bag and walking away. But it was not a big thing and I put it down to her maybe just having a bad day. However, yesterday, she was disrespectful to me at checkout. I placed the two items I was purchasing on the counter in front of her and said “I’ll take these, thanks.” And as I was getting my wallet out, I placed my green fabric tote bag on the counter a few feet away (the tote had a few things from a pharmacy inside and it looks nothing like the brown paper shopping bags they use). As I got my wallet out to pay, she looked at my tote bag and said in a very unfriendly tone: “Is that from somewhere else?” to which I answered yes. Since it was clearly not one of their shopping bags, she was asking me if I had anything of theirs in the bag that I was supposed to take out and pay for. So at checkout she implied that I was shoplifting. If another customer had placed their handbag or knapsack on the counter, would she have asked that person if there was anything in the bag that needed to be rung up? Why was I treated like that? As a repeat customer, I don’t like to feel like I’m suspected of stealing when I’m about to pay. This is why I can’t give any more than three stars for my recent experience, and it’s doubtful as to whether I’ll go back.

Been meaning to stop in here for a while and I am glad I did. Great sandwiches, really good soup - and now I can't wait to try out the prepared foods!

Today I picked up an 3 items, Almond Croissant, Ham and Cheese stuffed Bread and plain croissant. The Almond was stale, the Ham and Cheese had no Ham and the plain was also a day old. that was over $12 down the drain. When they first opened everything was fresh and day olds were sold as day olds. Be careful if you think you are getting fresh.

This was the best sandwich I’ve had in, well, I’m not sure how long. The shoddy photo might not capture it, but the falafel sandwich was fresh, delicious, and flavorful. 5/5
They have a nice selection of snacks and drinks, and their baked items come from one of the best bakeries in the state, G Cafe.
