I recently had the eggplant parmesan. The eggplant was tough, the sauce was watery. The ingredients said it had shallots in it,though I'm not sure why, but in actuality they were onions. It was pretty tasteless and lackluster. I was expecting better. 😕
Latest score:fabulous turkey wrap with fig jam, chicken pot pie-out of this world, and winter citrus salad sitting on a surprise bed of endive leaves, perfect vessels for the walnut-dusted feta balls!

Excellent food. Great service. This will be a weekly stop. Hot and ready to order food selection is very nicely displayed.
Have stopped in to Cooked several times in the past month and the food and packaged goods, while pricey, are of a very high quality. However, there is one young female employee who needs to work on her attitude and customer service. A few days ago, she was snippy towards me at checkout, not saying thank you or goodbye— literally throwing my receipt in the bag and walking away. But it was not a big thing and I put it down to her maybe just having a bad day. However, yesterday, she was disrespectful to me at checkout. I placed the two items I was purchasing on the counter in front of her and said “I’ll take these, thanks.” And as I was getting my wallet out, I placed my green fabric tote bag on the counter a few feet away (the tote had a few things from a pharmacy inside and it looks nothing like the brown paper shopping bags they use). As I got my wallet out to pay, she looked at my tote bag and said in a very unfriendly tone: “Is that from somewhere else?” to which I answered yes. Since it was clearly not one of their shopping bags, she was asking me if I had anything of theirs in the bag that I was supposed to take out and pay for. So at checkout she implied that I was shoplifting. If another customer had placed their handbag or knapsack on the counter, would she have asked that person if there was anything in the bag that needed to be rung up? Why was I treated like that? As a repeat customer, I don’t like to feel like I’m suspected of stealing when I’m about to pay. This is why I can’t give any more than three stars for my recent experience, and it’s doubtful as to whether I’ll go back.

Been meaning to stop in here for a while and I am glad I did. Great sandwiches, really good soup - and now I can't wait to try out the prepared foods!

Today I picked up an 3 items, Almond Croissant, Ham and Cheese stuffed Bread and plain croissant. The Almond was stale, the Ham and Cheese had no Ham and the plain was also a day old. that was over $12 down the drain. When they first opened everything was fresh and day olds were sold as day olds. Be careful if you think you are getting fresh.

This was the best sandwich I’ve had in, well, I’m not sure how long. The shoddy photo might not capture it, but the falafel sandwich was fresh, delicious, and flavorful. 5/5
They have a nice selection of snacks and drinks, and their baked items come from one of the best bakeries in the state, G Cafe.

I love the food, the service and the place. Everyone should try the banana pudding, it’s one of the best things I’ve ever tasted in my life. 10/10!!!!

What i love about this store is that they really seem to care about having quality ingredients. Most things are made without seed oils which I really appreciate. The bread is organic flour, the banana pudding (out of this world btw) is made with real cream no cool whip or something cheap. There are few options like this so it is really a benefit to have in the community. Keep up the good work!
Dietary restrictions: GF options, options without seed oils
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp on left side of entrance, better to park over there

Love this place! So glad that it opened. The quality of the food is immaculate. It's like David Rose opened a food store down the street!
Great for sandwiches, dinner, salad, smoothies - and you've got to get the banana pudding!! :p

Finally a place in Essex to get prepared gourmet meals to go! Heathy too! Only complaint would be most of the prepared meals are frozen and require overnight thawing before heating up. So don’t go there expecting to get a quick dinner.
Cooked did a fantastic job renovation on the old Bennie's bulding. That being said I don't think they are going to make it long term with their current business model . The food is way over priced and nothing special. My Sister got the Bennie's prime rib sandwich it was pathetic, cost 16$.
I would have opened a restaurant, and with the train station across the street plenty of business. Breakfast, lunch, and Dinner with a service bar. In my opinion and I owned and operated a business for 12 years, I think their overhead is like a giant anchor and will drag their business down.COOKED IS COOKED.
