I ordered an iced coffee with marshmallow flavoring, and it was amazing. The coffee is fresh and flavorful. The location is near the Essex Steam Train and a Brewery.

I love it here!
Great location, friendly and welcoming staff.
I’ve never had something here that I didn’t like!
Extra perk: I love that they offer loyalty “punch cards”!
Can’t wait to visit the new location, as well!

I've been getting my coffee from Deep River Roasters for years now, I used to roast my own or have it shipped from assorted roasters around the country. As a pretty big "coffee geek", I can say after trying everyone in CT that I have found, and quite a few places overseas, that there is no place I would rather get my coffee from. You're not going to find anyone around here with fresher roasted beans, or more care put into them. Fantastic coffee and fantastic people, who will certainly go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your coffee. Do yourself a favor and go now! Unless you're too far away, then check their website, because they also ship their beans!
Parking: Huge parking lot at the Witch Hazel Works building.

Bought a bag of "ufo hunter" roasted by Matt. Excellent beans! My new favorite coffee! An extra star for the unique name, haha.
Vanilla, latte, Taste burnt, no flavor
Best coffee in the area and along the route from North Carolina to Maine. It's tucked away in the Witch Hazel building facing the steam train giving it an incredible view. Although kids don't always drink coffee... there's plenty to keep them entertained while grabbing coffee! Customer service is second to none! It will always be on the list of places to stop when I make the trip up the coast.
Great coffee and assortment of baked goods from local bakeries. It's out of the way being behind the Witch Hazel factory but I like taking my son there and watching the steam train

Best coffee in CT. Hands down!
The cold brew is great.

Best coffee around! Cold brew is always excellent and there is decaf cold brew, too! Batch roasted coffees are so fresh and flavorful, and there are many varieties of specialty drinks. Pastries are locally baked and delicious!
Though some may judge a roaster by their chai I judge it by their cappuccino. Unfortunately, it wasn't on the menu, but the staff was wonderful and made one for us. The coffee was delicious, non-dairy options are available, and some food options as well.
