Halal Spot is an unsuspecting but awesome restaurant located in a gas station. It has quickly become a regular lunch rotation for many, offering the best Middle Eastern takeout in miles. The food never disappoints and is packed with flavor, with tender meat, fresh vegetables, and great portions for the price. Specific standout dishes include the lamb gyro wrap, the chicken and lamb over rice, the crispy chicken wrap, the crispy chicken sandwich, the Philly cheese steak, and the falafel plate which comes with rice, salad, pita, and hummus. The falafel is nice and crispy, and the pita is literally the best some have ever had. The fries have a bit of a kick, and the samosas are a solid accompaniment.

The sauces are particularly legendary; the hot sauce could start a war and the white sauce could end it. Service is always super friendly and efficient, with staff checking what sauces are needed. The spot is clean and prices are competitive. Whether dining in or ordering for pickup, the food is consistently ready on time and very fresh.
