Food was great but the other customers were kinda weird…not the resturaunt’s fault people just don’t know how to keep to themselves.I ordered a breakfast sandwich. You can get scrambled or over easy eggs so I asked for scrambled because I have issues with whole yolks. The waitress laughed at me and didn’t really listen. Yeah, the food is good and cheap but the customer service just isn’t the best.

My husband and I decided to stop for breakfast one day three weeks ago and we were amazed with everything. I ordered Eggs Benedict, coffee and an orange juice. My husband ordered pancakes, sausage, coffee and orange juice. We also got a side of bacon. Everything was perfect and delicious! My Eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly and the best I’ve ever had. I am a self proclaimed Eggs Benedict connoisseur and I was extremely impressed. The eggs were poached perfectly…which is very important. The hollandaise sauce was so tasty that I just wanted to jump in and swim in it! And the homefries were amazing! My husband, who is a huge pancake fanatic said the pancakes were by far the best he has ever ate. He said they were fluffy and cooked perfectly through and the bacon was very crispy and the sausage not overcooked. The coffee was fresh and strong, which is how we like it. Since that first day, we have gone back two more times. If you happen to like soup, let me tell you…their soups are wonderful! The waitress was excellent and very friendly. She welcomes everyone with a smile and frequently checks in to see how everything is. The gentleman who cooks also comes out to greet the customers and asks how everyone is doing and is very humbled with every compliment he and the waitress receives. They definitely pride themselves on being the best and they truly are the best! We will definitely be making this a weekly trip. We find ourselves thinking about the food at Peter’s II and can’t wait to go back. We 100% recommend Peter’s II to anyone looking for a small locally owned and operated restaurant for breakfast and lunch. You won’t be disappointed.Parking: The restaurant is located in a small plaza so there are many parking spaces in front as well as on the side and back.Kid-friendliness: They make the cutest Mickey Mouse pancakes for kids. They also have a children’s menu.

Peter's II has been around for many years, and I have past here numerous times, but never knew it exist. This small diner appeared to be a favorite place for locals since many of them knew each other. Appearance was a bit outdated but very clean. The menu had many choices for breakfast, and lunch. There was only one sever and I believe only one cook who severed the meals and was busing tables. I ordered the Shepard Omelet 3 eggs, cheddar cheese, bacon, potatoes and onions. The omelet was loaded with cheese, and potatoes but hardly any bacon. Since they were busy and short staff I had to waited a while for my check, and I really didn't care for the food.

The good is delicious but the service is not adequate for a breakfast place. The servers do not come around to refill coffee and once you get your food they do not come back. You are on your own once your food arrives! You even have to ask for the check. It’s too bad because the food is really good!

Perfection in a diner! Each time we visit a diner place like this we are always pleasantly surprised! The service was great and the food was delicious. I landed on the veggie omelet. It was delicious the service was solid as well. Finally the pancakes were the fluffiest I have ever had in my life. My hubby had to cut me off. Less than 25 bucks before tip for a good meal! If we are in the area again we definitely be back .

Great service by the two ladies who managed to serve the whole restaurant without forgetting to check on us. I got one of the specials with eggs, bacon, home fries and pancakes and was very satisfied. The pancakes were some of the best I've had at a diner with a hint of vanilla.

I’ll give 3.8 — First time here, was driving along Rt. 10 North from Hamden, my dad wanted to stop for lunch. Saw the small sign on right side of the road and gave it a shot. Dad quickly decided he’d order breakfast for lunch, having a short stack of pancakes and his usual cup of decafe coffee. Service was quick, friendly, food was good. I’d certainly dine here again.

Food is very good. Prices are very reasonable considering how expensive food is these days. The place itself is outdated, but looks very clean. The coffee is good too. The only issue I have had here is they do not come around to refill coffee. You have to ask every time you want a refill.
