The burger was amazing they make their own hamburger meat by grinding several types of beef. They would not tell me the secrets though. Had great sauteed mushrooms and the bun was grilled perfectly with some butter. The fries were crinkle cut and perfect as well

I was craving a delicious grilled or char-broiled hot dog with mustard and relish, and though I've lived about 15 minutes away for many years, I had never visited Rose’s Dairy Bar before. I’m so glad I finally did! The hot dog was exactly what I was hoping for, and to my pleasant surprise, the bun was toasted and buttered—yum!
My daughter ordered a grilled cheese with tomato soup, and a milkshake, and she loved every bite. The picnic tables were a great spot to sit on such a beautiful day, making the experience even more enjoyable. Joey, one of the owners, came over and asked how everything was, which was a nice touch of customer service. While eating, I could smell the burgers grilling, and it was so tempting I almost ordered one to go.
Later that evening, I couldn’t resist—I drove back and got myself a 1/4 lb burger. Joey recognized me from earlier and even shook my hand. Such thoughtful service to match the iconic and nostalgic vibe of this dairy bar. I told him I had come back because the burgers smelled amazing! He introduced himself and Jimmy as the owners and explained how they make their burgers from freshly ground meat, not frozen patties. Funny enough, I’m very picky about that and can definitely taste the difference—hand-formed burgers are night and day compared to frozen pre-formed ones.
The cook must’ve read my mind, too, because he asked if I wanted American or cheddar cheese right as I was about to ask if they had cheddar.
Needless to say, I’ll be back—and probably craving it again tomorrow!

Rose Dairy is a great little drive-in joint that's been around for quite a while. I can certainly understand why! The food is absolutely delicious, the shakes and ice cream equally so. We also loved the fact that you could place an order of "frings" - a combination of French fries and onion rings together. We ate outside and enjoyed the ambiance, music and a terrific dinner. If you're craving a great meal, you should stop by!

The strawberry cheesecake ice cream is delicious ! It is one of my favorite flavors, I will have to return for more ! Also enjoyed the French fries and onion rings combo called the Fring ! Both are crispy and tasty !
I’m wondering, if roses has changed ownership because our last visit yesterday was not a pleasant experience. We ordered a cheeseburger hotdog, french fries and a birch beer for lunch. It should be noted that the burger was ordered rare as we have done several times in the past. So the first problem was that we were literally the only people ordering at this time there was no one before us and no one after us however, it took probably 20 minutes to get our food can’t figure out We finally received our order. The cheeseburger was cooked too well condition not anywhere near close what we asked for so we asked them to re-cook a new one which they did graciously however, the second one was also overcooked. The hotdog I would have to say it was also a little crispier than it should’ve been and the french fries, although they have never been very good, were not any better. The highlight of the meal sadly was my birch beer soda!

Decided to try this place with my toddler. She had a hot dog, I had a cheeseburger and we shared the yummy crinkle cut fries. It was like having it at home on a charcoal grill. Both were really good. Toddler and mama approved! The chocolate milkshakes were also very good. Will definitely go back next time we are in Cheshire!

I used to love this place it must be under new management I never saw the People that’s working in there now. They seem overwhelmed ordered a strawberry shortcake and they asked me did I want that with chocolate ice cream ? It came out melted they had to remake it. The owner seems stressed! Hope they pull it together it was a nice place!

Stopped at Rose’s for a quick hot dog with my wife and we were pleasantly surprised! We split a burger and a dog.. the burger was the juiciest and cooked to perfection! The best burger I’ve had in a LONG time!! We’ll be back for sure and will try some ice cream next time!
