I feel they are about to go out of business. i got the Black and Blue salad - steak was great but there was fruit on my salad no blue cheese no blue cheese dressing or red onions. i feel the chef had a summer salad and slapped my steak on it. it was also soaked in a vinaigrette. so i ate the steak.. and some fruit.
they were out of limes in the bar for drinks or coronas yet they are next to a grocery store...

We were in Cheshire and the restaurant we were planning to eat at was closed. Waze directed us to another restaurant named the Victorian House right around the corner from where we were. This is about 1:30 pm. There were only two cars in the parking lot when we went inside. There were a couple gentlemen sitting at the bar. My friend and I both ordered coffee and onion soup, which we were told was particularly popular and made on the premise. My friend ordered an eggplant Panini and I opted for the bacon burger. The waitress came back a few minutes later to inform us that she couldn’t find the coffee. So, no coffee. We thought that was strange, but we let it go. It was a very cold day outside and the door that we came in wouldn’t stay shut the wind kept blowing it open, so there was a constant draft. Even though we were sitting directly in front of the fire, we had to move because it was too cold. When the soup arrived, my friend only ate a little of hers, I was so hungry , I polished mine off. At that point, I didn’t suspect any issues. After a few minutes the room became filled with smoke that was billing out of the kitchen. I jokingly asked, if that was my hamburger that was burning. She said it was, and it would be out in a minute. I thought she was joking since I ordered my hamburger medium. but no, I got the some blacken mess. I cut my burger in half to find it was completely cooked all the way through. The inside, looking dry and unpleasant , the outside looking like a lump of charcoal. Before I could call the waitress over concerning my meal, my friend held up her sandwich and ask if I thought that was mold all over the backside of the bread. And I said yeah that’s definitely mold. And we’re not talking a little bit of mold we’re talking. It was coated in mold. We then called the waitress over and she apologize and did not charge us. But obviously, we had lost our appetite and was no longer interested in eating there. The only thing we had was the onion soup. After we left I was sick to my stomach for rest of the afternoon. The waitress clearly saw that there was problems with the food before she served it to us and she served it anyway. I don’t know what the story is with this restaurant but clearly something is seriously wrong there. I would avoid eating there at all cost.

Onion soup overly salty, tasted like a salt block. Eggplant fries overcooked and tasteless. Black Forest sandwich no longer on the menu. Disappointed.

I've been there once before and the food was pretty bad, the bar is just old and it looks like they haven't invested anything to make it look somewhat decent, so I thought hey, maybe the food was bad only that one time, I decided to give it another chance, so I ordered food there again and no change, the food was horrible, overpriced, low portions and bad, can't complain about the bartender.
Would I order food from there again? Never, no wonder that place is just for drinks.

Felt like I was in an episode of Bar Rescue. This place needs a lot of help! I was with a party of 3. None of us could eat our dinners they were that inedible. We were embarrassed for the chef and server. Clearly the food was not fresh. Tiny gnats and flies all around us. I shudder to think what the kitchen looks like. Praying we don’t get food poisoning.
To top it off, my friend ordered a pasta where it said please pick sausage or chicken. When the bill came she was charged $6 for probably microwaved chicken and when questioning the charge was shown in the tiniest of print about the additional charge on the menu.
Note to owner: think about changing the tv channel.

We were in the mood for pasta, but didn’t want to go out to eat (sick child). So, the Victorian House staff was so kind to let us order just sauce and of course—Nonna’s Meatballs to go with it. Oh. My. Goodness…the sauce is DELICIOUS and the meatballs melt in your mouth. 🍝 Thank you for the fantastic dinner, Victorian House!

I really enjoyed my experience here today. This establishment has a great bar with TV’s if you’re looking for a filling station. I had lunch on the patio and Nicole was excellent. She was very friendly and attentive. They have new menus and new chefs; the chef that made the meals came out and asked how everything was. The food was really good. 10/10 five stars! We will be back!

We walked in with 5 people and had to wait to get seated. When we were escorted to our table, the restaurant was empty except 2 elderly ladies sitting in a corner. We ordered a drink, took quite awhile, waitress apologized. Took our food order, Took an extremely long time, while serving a couple plates, waitress informed us they didn't have one of the kid's meals and she forgot to put in one of the adults meals. When my meal came it had fried chicken instead of grilled chicken like I asked for. Waitress appeared annoyed when I pointed it out. This establishment definitely caters to the local bar scene and gave our party of 5 the impression that we were intruding on there normal routine!
