My husband and I have frequented Herman’s over the years- even though the seating was minimal and table seating wasn’t ideal with people at the counter butts right in your face. But we still supported local. The last three times my husband went in there alone, he would sit at the counter and buffer himself between a person on each side. The waitress on three occasions asked him to move and sit right next to one person. My husband refused, they gave attitude and now we will never go back.
It surprises me that they wouldn’t want to accommodate a Partons seating preference due to the lack of ideal seating.
My husband even said that in the event that a couple comes in and needs two seats together he would be willing to move over. 🙄

Herman's is the quintessential small town diner. A cozy dining area that seats less than 30, by my count. The counter, several 2-person tables, and I think there was a table at the far end that seats 4. I heard several people greeted by name.
My burger and fries were excellent, the service fast and friendly, and the prices reasonable.

Hermans is one of the true last diners out there. Khristina, her family, and fellow patrons are always fun to chat with; Seating is a premium, but those same people are also nice, and very accommodating when seating is needed! Food, portions, and prices are exactly what I look for in a family diner. Delicious, homemade, and affordable! Swing by for a hearty breakfast, a juicy burger at lunch, or both!
