Party of 4, Saturday night. Other couple loved their food, both had seafood dishes. My wife and I were not as thrilled. Food was very nice, fresh, no issues from that point. My Caesar salad was pretty non-de script. The dressing was kind of bland. I expect something with some zing, and some anchovy, that's what's in Caesar salad dressing. Very fresh, just no zing. The arugula with my Pork Chop Milanese was again, fresh but just a pile on the plate, no dressing, no zing. The pork chop was OK, nothing to write home about. I ordered Truffle Parm Fries to have with dinner, came mid way through dinner after I asked twice. Not french fries, more like long potato chips/strips. The large parmigianno flakes fell off the fries and no truffle flavor found by a few of us. Asked for salt and pepper, twice, finally got a salt cellar and waiter standing there with large pepper grinder. No salt and pepper shakers? My Mai Tia was great, like a real Mai Tia, saying that I bet most people won't like it because it's not like what they get in most places. My wife ordered a steak (menu in use there doesn't totally like up with menu on web site), was cooked per request but she said it was fatty. Waiter was for the most part good, food and drinks took an appropriate time.
Overdue review: we love going to Lily’s. The atmosphere is great, the food is spectacular, the employees are welcoming and friendly. Stopped in for dinner recently and sat at the bar. I had the bolognese which was great and the fiancé had the filet which came with mashed potatoes and green beans and did the add on of lobster. He was very happy with the meal, the cook on the steak was spot on and the portion size was just right. Dennis the bartender was very friendly and nice to chat with. 10/10 would recommend
First time at Lily's and it's on my favorites list. Fantastic wait staff, very comfortable, cozy atmosphere, delicious high quality, reasonably priced food. Set the mood for a great Saturday night!
The cauliflower appetizer was excellent and large portion. We tried the scallops with risotto, which had a generous portion of perfectly caramelized scallops and delicious risotto and spinach; and the chicken: oh so crispy and with a delicious gravy and this amazing biscuit toast. Would highly recommend leaving room for dessert. We shared the chocolate mousse cake - very rich, dense and perfect level of sweetness, with fresh whipped cream, washed down with a perfect cappuccino. Drinks and wine selection also splendid.
Beautiful space with excellent food choices. Tables were well spaced so you could have a conversation without listening to your neighbors. The service was a bit slow but the food was excellent. Portions were very good and prices were in keeping with realistic quality expectations. We will certainly go back.
Just tried the restaurant and can’t say enough about the food or the people. I’d put the quality against ANY of the best places in the West Hartford or Glastonbury areas let alone Colchester. While I was waiting for my takeout order I was watching the people in the kitchen and everything plated was clean and precise.I talked with both the owners while waiting and they just make you feel welcome despite being short staffed and very busy.We will definitely make this one of our staple restaurants.
We ate a Lily’s last night for the second time and I will continue to go back. The Sriracha shrimp appetizer was amazing, the shrimp were huge. The spinach and artichoke dip was out of this world and the homemade chips were to die for. We then had several meals at our table. One had the filet, ate every bite and no fat to be seen, two of us had southern fried chicken and it was huge and neither of us could finish, and the rigatoni bolognese was also amazing. We have no complaints about the meal whatsoever. The cheesecake at the end again was a delightful way to end the evening. Emily, the owner, greeted the customers with a smile. I highly recommend Lilly’s for your next meal out!!!!!
Another wonderful experience at Lily's! I had the fried chicken and my husband had the bolognese. For dessert we had the burnt cheesecake with fresh whipped cream and strawberries! Absolutely amazing food! I definitely want to try the lobster pot pie next time! If you want great food with a relaxing atmosphere try Lily's! You won't be disappointed!
First time there and had an amazing experience. The food was incredible, service top notch, and atmosphere amazing. The owner made a point welcome each guest and was extremely friendly. We will definitely be back for sure.
What a wonderful restaurant!! The hostess is very sweet. Our server Stephanie was very nice and very attentive. The food was delicious. Definitely recommend this restaurant, I especially liked the huge Christmas tree in their dinning room. Beautiful place and atmosphere. Will definitely be back. ?

Fabulous dinner on a Saturday evening! Husband and I each had the beef filet with the crab cake, asparagus and bernaise sauce special as the main course, cheese platter and salads for appetizer and apple crumble for dessert. Everything so delicious! Service was attentive and friendly; drinks so good. Try this place soon. We’re going back!
Great atmosphere, good service, great steak and risotto. Cheers to lots of success!
Very nice dining experience! Great food, great service, great atmosphere!
Not Happy prices are outrageous, A seafood risotto included 3 small bay scallops burnt to crispy, 2 large shrimp also over done on a bed of rice w/a few spinach leafs taste like came from can, for $34.
Although I must say, beautiful venue, with a lovely atmosphere. the food was a huge disappointment…we ordered the scallops and shrimp dish, both items were over cooked, the meal was disappointing and over priced.
