Ones saying this is sole food have not been to real smokehouses. The meats were way too overcooked and tasted like they were placed overnight and put on “keep warm” setting. We had to douse the food in sauce just to make it bearable.

Hidden gem. My daughter picked OzN'Bones for her birthday lunch. We had never been here, what a delicious treat. They were very accommodating to our dietary allergies, pointing out options. We were not disappointed.

First visit today with my son Zak. Very interesting location and inside is rustic and casual and comfortable. Zak had a bowl with Mac and cheese, beans and pulled pork that he devoured. I had a combo plate with Mac and cheese, coleslaw, baked beans, collared greens, brisket and burnt ends. Their portions are generous and I had plenty of leftovers to take home. They have a cooler for drinks and a bar for alcohol. They had wonderful desserts but we were both too full. We will definitely be back again.

This is real, soulful BBQ, and after having Oz n Bones we are ruined for anything else around. We ordered the chicken, brisket and ribs. Perfect amount of smoke, perfect amount of 'cook', perfect amount of love. Portion sizes are very generous. The sauces are well balanced and not overpowering, and elevate the flavor, letting the meat shine through.
The crew are wonderful, warm and happy people who clearly love what they do (even when technology throws a curve ball ;) ). The atmosphere is well-thought out and comfortable, and the blues music choices just add to the overall character. Oz and Bones BBQ is definitely worth the visit!

My wife and I have been going here for years now! It was until now our go to when we would eat out. Always was phenomenal and great price for what you got! Unfortunately as of late every time we went (the last 4 times) we noticed all different cook staff each time. The quality has been dropping! I called a month or two ago as when we got home the food was basically inedible. The owner refunded us which I appreciated. Fast forward to today 12/26/25 we received a few gift cards for Christmas and we were both like oz and bones!! We got home and the brisket was hard as wood, no smoke ring and dry. The pulled pork had a massive vein in it and was dry! Both very inedible. My 1/2 chicken was like pulling shoe leather to eat and barely warm. My ribs some were still cold ! Obviously reheated all the meat and done to the point were it's inedible. My mac and cheese was hard as a rock and the beans were basically canned beans, not the usual thick and tasty homemade style beans. So long story short our once favorite place to eat in the world and told everyone about is now a place we will probably never go to again. Cash is not always there for eating out and the times we can we need to be confident in where we spend our hard earned money. I only leave this review as knowledge for people and I don't do it with a light heart. The owners are great people and I wish the best to them but I cannot waste anymore of our money coming here.

One of my favorite places to eat in SECT. Never a bad experience. The staff are fantastic along with the owners. Highly suggest! The food is AMAZING!
I do wish there were more gluten free options but thats a preference and challenge ((of the fun kind)).

I picked up dinner to go on Wednesday night (12/10), and I was blown away by my entire experience. From the second I opened the door I was immediately greeted by staff, who were all exceptionally kind. I watched the cashier (I wish I remember her name!!) carefully check my order and then meticulously package everything in front of me, all while warmly engaging in conversation with me.

In my experience, exceptional customer service is always a prelude to exceptional food quality. And the meal did not disappoint. The ribs fell off the bone, the cornbread with maple butter is a necessity, and the bourbon banana pudding is even better than it sounds— trust me.

To the owner and staff: Please keep doing what you’re doing with passion, love, and exceptional quality— it’s what makes this place so special. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience here, and I’m already looking forward to coming back.

Pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket, and burnt ends. Bacon mac and cheese, maple cornbread, all the sauce we could dip into, however the meats didn't need any sauce to be delicious..and the bacon mac..part of me wants the recipe, the other part wants the excuse to come here more often!
Southern hospitality in Connecticut, couldn't ask for better service, or atmosphere, and the food was phenomenal!!
Best restaurant I've been to in YEARS and I go out weekly.
I'd rate it 10 stars if I could!!
Went on Thursday night, live musician was incredible.
We'll be back for sure!

My husband and I love trying new places, especially BBQ so when we heard there was a place locally we had to check it out. When we pulled in the place was so cute! We were welcomed by a very nice woman who explained how the ordering all worked. When we got the food, disappointment was an understatement. My husband and I each got burnt ends and brisket with Mac and cheese. We each took a few bites and decided to throw the rest away. The meat is not smoked. It’s either boiled or microwaved. I’ve never in my life tried something so rancid. We are both not ones to turn away food especially for what we paid. If you are reading this please save yourself the trouble and save your money and go elsewhere. If I could give the food no stars I would.

We were looking for a spot to grab a quick bite in the area and were glad to have come across this place. A great find with some of the best BBQ options around. I had one of the best nachos I've had in a long time. The staff was incredibly friendly and walked us through the menu with helpful recommendations. Even better, the food was prepared in under 10 minutes. Excellent service — will definitely be back soon.
