Absolutely delicious BBQ! The food was flavorful and cooked to perfection. Catering service was prompt, friendly, and incredibly accommodating to our needs. We felt well taken care of from start to finish. Highly recommend to anyone craving great BBQ and top-notch hospitality!
Mr Ozman is the goat so I’m giving 5 stars no matter what he is a legend 🐐🐐
I ate off their food truck at a brewery and had to check out their brick and mortar. I am usually not happy with BBQ spots. You can't just put sauce on meat and call it BBQ and this place gets it, the food is real BBQ. If you want real BBQ put this place on your list. Definitely a hidden gem. Has outdoor seating.
They sure don't skimp on the sandwiches. Great food, great service, what more can ya ask for?
Been to many smokehouses in the New England area. Not a fan and will never return to this one. After living in Mass and going to BT’s in Sturbridge for years, maybe I’m accustomed to a higher quality of smokehouse. My 2 year old daughter was disgusted by the popcorn chicken breading where the smoked chicken inside was the only edible part. This was extremely odd behavior by her. Wife tried it and was grossed out. The cornbread was insanely dry. The brisket was dry and tasted boiled. Pulled pork was stringy, tasted store bought. We ended up throwing away most of our meal. Of course, the owner was in the dining room watching us the whole time and after noticing me throwing away most of our meal, they asked how everything was in a condescending tone. I had to get out as soon as possible since I just didn’t want to hear it from her. The place was EMPTY during lunch hour which was odd as well. Every other smokehouse I’ve been to(yes, even ones in Florida) have been packed during lunch hour. Absolutely bizarre stuff going on here.
That hplaserjet Google review is right on the money. Seems like there’s some delusion here. Just because some people from a different geographical location may have liked it here, it doesn’t make it good. This place is NOT good. But hey, if you like weird dry funky meat and having the owner watch your family eat, enjoy. Seems like a good place for a Kitchen Nightmares episode.
Update: Whole family got sick. 1 star. Shame on you for giving my daughter that slop. Glad she didn’t eat much of it.
I’m convinced most of these positive reviews are fake/bought/comped meal situations.
My first time visiting:
I stopped in on a rainy day after a birthday party and was greeted by the most welcoming staff. I got ALL of their names but this blonde comes from the roots, not a bottle so of course I forgot before I even left the restaurant. Sorry. Anyways, I got the Korean beef sliders that were amazing!! There was a daily special going on sooo why not. I ordered the Oz combo that came with 2 meats and 2 sides; I got the brisket and pulled pork as well as mac and cheese and collard greens. The meats were very tender and tasty. Tasty with the smoke flavor, didn't need a drop of sauce. But I had to give their sauces a try 😋😋 deeelicious. The sides were good, but I think the collard greens were a little too over seasoned and the mac could use a little more cheese. But that didn't stop me from tearing it up, they still had great flavor. Portion sizes were generous, sharable but they can get their own plate!! I will be back to try more of what's on the menu real soon. I highly recommend it.
EDIT: the mac and cheese was PERFECT and does NOT need anything done to it.
Place its amazing great food and staff
I was very happy. Good food, cooked beautifully, good portion size, great sauces and reasonable prices.
It's a little odd to order at a counter and pay for your meal first, then pay for alcohol at a different counter but it was fine. If that helps them to keep the prices reasonable, I'm all for it. Its about a 25 minute ride for me but I'll be back... soon.
Good food friendly people
Just stopped quick for a gift certificate and grabbed some collard greens those where pretty good the girl at front counter was friendly and helpful also

04.01.25- 'Big Al's Reel Reviews' Ep.74 Ft. Apathy 💣Oz N' Bones BBQ💣 43 Hayward Ave Town of Colchester, CT Let me start out by saying, Oz N' Bone earned the Bomb 💣 as a whole so let me explain why. They are located just off the main road, and Behind another building on Hayward Ave in the Town of Colchester but it is an Amazing BBQ spot!! I should have dropped in a few months ago because they have it all! The atmosphere is exactly what you expect when going to a great BBQ Spot located in a Historic building. Minutes after our food was served the lovely Owner named Diane came over to our table and we had a great conversation for a few minutes then she moved on to the other 3 tables occupied with guests. ❤️ Let's get into the food now: Al Ordered 1. Beef Brisket Sandwich $12.00 💣 2. OZ Combo Plate $22.00 💣 St. Louis Ribs 💣 & Pulled Pork 💣 Macaroni & Cheese 👍🏾and Coleslaw👎🏾 AP Ordered 1. OZ Half Chicken Plate $22.00 💣 Coleslaw 👎🏾& Collard Greens💣 The Beef Brisket Sandwich was huge with pickled onions, pickled Jalapenos and house made Chipotle Sriracha sauce, it was the bomb! 💣 Bombs went to the St. Louis Ribs and Pulled pork as well!! Their BBQ is the bomb! AP and I both agreed that the Coleslaw is just bland chopped up cabbage so it earned the only thumbs 👎🏾. AP rated his chicken and the Collard Greens Bombs💣💣 and he also tried everything I ordered and loved it as he said in the 'Reel Review'. I repeat, Oz N' Bones is The Bomb 💣 They are serving Top Notch BBQ at a much lower price than the competition!! This spot is absolutely amazing!! Oz N' Bones are Now my #1 BBQ spot in the State of CT!! Yep!! 💣 You need to get your a** down there right away and try Oz N' Bones out!!💣💣💣 Note: You can look forward to many more 'Big Al's Reel Reviews' 😎 See you on the rebound, Peace ✌🏾 out ☝🏾❤️ -Big Al Mayo

The service was excellent, sides were pretty ok, but the brisket and burnt ends were inedible. Let's start with the brisket. For some reason it was smashed up and served in a pile instead of sliced. No options between point and flat. No bark, the world's tiniest smoke ring and not one speck of fat to be seen. It was as dry, tough and tasteless as an overcooked pot roast. The burnt ends were so hard and chewy, I could not pierce it with my fork. To be completely fair, I lived in Texas for several years so my bar is pretty high. But even by New England standards, this was just a shame. I don't know who convinced the owner that their bbq was restaurant worthy, but maybe rethink your bbq game.

The food was so good and they gave decent portions! I'm obsessed with burnt ends and these did not disappoint. The woman that helped us at the order counter was lovely and made the whole experience great!
