After hearing rave reviews about Il Pastaficio, my family and I finally decided to give it a try for dinner last night. Nestled in a cozy corner of Cos Cob, this unassuming hole-in-the-wall establishment exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by the staff, particularly Timothy, who provided exceptional service throughout our meal. The ambiance was inviting, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the pasta. Il Pastaficio undoubtedly boasts some of the freshest, most flavorful pasta on the East Coast. Each bite of the Linguine Al Sugo Di Pesce was a revelation, perfectly cooked to al dente perfection and bursting with the flavors of the sea. My wife indulged in the decadent Lasagna Tartufo, while my son devoured his Kids Pasta with tomato sauce, both of them thoroughly enjoying their meals. What sets Il Pastaficio apart is its commitment to authenticity. With every bite, you're transported to the heart of Italy, thanks to the genuine flavors and expertly crafted dishes. It's like taking a culinary journey without ever leaving your seat.In conclusion, Il Pastaficio is a must-visit for pasta lovers and aficionados of authentic Italian cuisine. If I could, I'd give this place six stars for its outstanding food, friendly staff, and the ability to capture the essence of Italy in every dish. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and experience the magic of Il Pastaficio firsthand. You won't be disappointed.Parking: 30

A small, family owned Italian restaurant with an open kitchen and a great variety of home made pastas which you can also choose to buy from their store. My favorite is Pasta with Ragu. If you like deserts there is a great selection as well of family recipes’ Dolci…. Salame chocolate is the one that we usually order to share... We have been many times and will return again.

The food was amazing, I just confused of the location, more of an Italian market with limited seating. Make a reservation.

They specialize in delicious Italian cuisine delicately prepared, artfully presented. The parmigiana with fresh fried eggplant was garnished with basil powder. Imagine. Don’t forget to order the bread: only Focaccia. It’s

This place is a CT favorite. Authentic flavors and reasonable prices. We drive all the way from Long Island for the food and deserts! The only negative is they have AC even in the winter so it can get a little chilly even

Il Pastaficio is a true treat, existing fairly inconspicuously in Cos Cob CT. With just a few tables crammed together in front of the checkout counter, it's ALMOST too crowded, but the atmosphere more than compensates. We ordered the house-made Foccacia Bread ($3.50) and the Proscuitto di Parma a Burrata ($22) to start, which seems to have been pulled right from the basement, where they cut the Proscuitto as well. Both were some of the freshest products we've ever had at an Italian restaurant. The burrata, perfectly creamy and moist upon slicing into it was a perfect accompaniment to the focaccia, which by itself, was actually a TAD oversalted, but it was hard to find fault with.Within moments of finishing, our waitress actually asked us if we were ready for our pasta, and after replying in the affirmative, she walked back to the kitchen to have them fired! My wife ordered the bigoti with a duck ragu ($22) and I, the fusilli with a fresh pesto sauce ($20). Both pastas were perfectly al dente. My wife's duck ragu sauce was the star of the evening, perfectly salted and with the slight gaminess expected from duck, but balanced perfectly with the rest of the seasoning and the pasta itself. My pesto dish was nearly flawless, with my only complaint being that it was in need of a TINY bit of salt.We finished the meal with a tiramisu ($8). Despite being pre-made earlier in the day and stored in a fridge prior to serving, it was one of the tastiest we'd ever had. I just wish it had multiple layers like a traditional execution of this dessert! Overall, we left thoroughly satisfied and would happily return.
