If you are a connoisseur of eating sandwiches, pasta, other excellent dishes, and homemade mozzarella cheese, then this is the #1 deli for you in life, let alone in Greenwich. The Cos Cob Crusher is incredible, I ask for mine with extra cheese, a little balsamic vinegar and toasted. If you have an issue with something you ordered, tell Orlando before you leave so that he can fix the confusion. Orlando is the man and one of the best business owners in the area! I’ve been coming here for almost 25 years.

Best deli in Connecticut. Everything is made fresh by the owner. The baked goods are incredible. The mozzarella is better than what we had in Italy. Highly recommend the Cos Cob Crusher — chicken cutlets are made fresh and the owner picks up the bread every morning from Arthur Ave. Never had something we didn’t like from here. 11/10.

First time at this deli we were in the neighborhood and figured we would try it for lunch , food is less than decent we had an egg sandwich with bacon we asked to toast the bread. It was not toasted at all and it’ was extremely salty! Meatballs were tasteless and it costed $30 for those two items with one drink which is more expensive than Rome Italy!!!! Not to mention, they’re not exactly friendly in there, we are disappointed to say the least just want to give people a heads up if you don’t want to get robed for mediocre food don’t eat here.

What a great stop as we travelled. Excellent sandwiches and picked up frozen casseroles for dinner and fresh mozzarella. Will definitely stop again.

This place is excellent. The sandwiches here are what you would expect from the best Italian Delis. Villa Nuova does not need this positive review but they deserve it. 10/10 - no notes.

I moved here from Long Island and haven’t really been able to find a deli comparable to the ones there. I was so surprised with this place I called right after I ate my sandwich to let them know how good it was. Sliced thin cold cuts and fresh bread! Finally a place that knows how to do it right in this area! Highly recommend. Such a gem!

We had amazing wedges from here recently. Chicken Parm wedge was PERFECT. Not greasy, not oily. Cutlets were juicy, tender, and delicious. The banana pudding was incredible as well.

How did I miss this place until now? A true Italian deli with the best fresh mozzarella I've had since moving from NY to CT. Grilled vegetables were fresh and perfectly-cooked (not too soggy/soft, but cooked through). Can't wait to try more.
