Just had my son’s birthday cupcakes. In general I love sugarz. I frequent them for sandwiches and all their goodies are delicious. I have gotten my son’s birthday cake in the past and have been pleased. I loved the decoration of our sonic themed cupcakes. The cake part itself was good and we got them filled will a chocolate ganache or strawberry filling. My biggest disappointment was the frosting. I wanted a pull apart cupcake to make life easier than cutting a cake. The frosting however was very thick and hard despite being out of the fridge for 2 hours. We didn’t have utensils not thinking I would need them for cupcakes. When pulling apart the frosting just stayed in place. I tried using the candles to chisel off pieces for the kids but they kept breaking lol. I ended up using my fingers but it was definitely not an easy or equally distributed process. This could have been my fault for not requesting different frosting or maybe I was suppose to bring a cutting knife. I’d only seen this pull apart method with big Y cupcakes and it was so easy and tasty with their fluffy whip cream frosting. But again I just assumed it would be a similar experience and I should have clarified on frosting. Just wish I didn’t spend $170 on 40 cupcakes because I don’t think parents wanted to eat what I mutilated. However like I said I will still be a frequent patron because I usually have great experiences, the staff is so kind, professional, and helpful.

I'm a fan of using Too Good To Go to order surprise bags and I received a great variety of muffins and pastries from Sugarz. It was exactly what I was hoping to get and I'm glad to see an eastern CT business on the app!

Excellent vegan muffins!! You can order ahead and freeze them. Freeze well. I take one at a time pop in microwave frozen 1 min perfect!!

We picked up a cake for a friend's birthday this past weekend. The cake needed to be Gluten free and enough for 20-25 people. 1) Damn was it expensive over $150. It was one of the worst cakes I've ever had. The cake itself just literally crumbled like sand. The flavor wasn't horrible just the driest thing I have ever seen. The frosting tasted pretty good too, it was a cream cheese frosting that was rock hard. Im not sure if the dryness of the cake sucked all the moisture out the frosting or if was left out for a few days but he consistency was like hard it broke. I started laughing as person after person were breaking forks trying to eat it. You could hear the snaps allover the room and the line forming for people having one bite and gathering around the trash to throw it out. I guess buyer beware. I've had good items from Sugarz before but this was garbage and a waste of alot of money. Seems like you say Gluten free and that doubles the price and expect it to taste like cardboard. I hope you have better luck.

10/10 breakfast sandwiches and baked goods ❤️ best ones around. I selfishly do wish they had more variety for hot/cold coffee and tea beverages but that's mostly because they're just so great at everything they do 😊 grateful for good chai lattes ❤️

Tried the new Cannoli Bar at Sugarz Bakery. The Reeses Cannoli was delicious. The peanut butter was a perfect touch to my already favorite dessert. The shell was nice and crispy. The cream went well with the candy. A must try. With an assortment of other options as well, this is an awesome idea. Adds a delicious twist to an already tasty treat. So come on down to Sugarz and especially if you live for Cannolis like I do. Try out the different variations and see if you find an even deeper love for Cannoli. A fun way to mix up your favorite dessert. They have many other tasty treats like homemade pop tarts at the bakery as well. I received their long stem chocolate covered strawberries and O...M...G... these beauties were almost too pretty to eat. Hands down the best I've ever had. The strawberries are so fresh and juicy with the perfect amount of chocolate. Everything they bake is great too but these are on another level. I highly recommend!!!

A last-minute need for a cheesecake landed us here. It's a happy place with great deserts. We were wowed by the brownie cheesecake and hot drinks that we took to go. I can't wait to go there for a sit-down lunch with my good friends. 4.4 rating is too low. :)
