Giving this place a one star. Contacted them last week thru email to have a small cake made for a birthday. Went back and forth a few times and then didn’t hear from anyone. Contacted to confirm and was told to call the day off to talk with someone. Said they weren’t able to make the cake. Can’t say anything about the atmosphere or food but the service is a no for me. Will not be recommending to anyone.

I'm sorry, but we were't super happy with our cake. I asked for it to be decorated for a relative's 59th anniversary and it was very plain. Just white with a fabric flower. The cost was 40.00 for the smallest size round layer cake. They didn't have the right size box for it so I had to drive 2 hours with the cover open as the box was too small to close all the way. I covered the open box with foil myself. On the plus side, the recipients did enjoy it and said it was tasty.

Sugarz is my go to bakery! Everything I have tried there has been delicious and everyone who works there is so sweet. I’ve tried their cannoli, cheesecake, giant cookies, and more and have never been disappointed. Everything is always so fresh and tasty! The bakery is super cute with lots of seating. They also offer food such as salads and sandwiches. Would definitely recommend!!

I stop into Sugarz every time I’m in town! They have absolute the best of everything! Their cakes are so moist and delicious, the sandwiches are a must and the staff is so incredibly friendly and wonderful to deal with. I’ve never been in there when Kali hasn’t had a big smile on her face!

Their cupcakes taste like they were left on the counter for 4 days. Dry frosting and dry cake. No excuse for that.I suspect for our order they just took old pre-frosted cupcakes and put new frosting on top for the design.. which didn’t even look anything like what was ordered
Would never recommend. You can clearly see the owner is a liar. There is not enough room on the cake board to even make a trunk. No way the cupcakes shifted like the owner claims.

My mom went to Sugarz Bakery yesterday for my baby shower cake it was supposed to look like an elephant (the second pic) and this is the embarrassment they made us it looks nothing like an elephant the cupcakes were dry and the frosting was absolutely disgusting. My 8 year old son spit it out in the trash that's how bad they were when we called them to asked for a refund the manager was very rude to my mother and refused to give us our money back we will never ever ever order from them again and figured the general public would like to know what you get when you order from them before you decide to order a cake for any kind of function. no one ate the cup cakes it was a complete waste of my mother's money.Does this look like an elephant or the picture we asked for? Everyone thought the eyes were spiders

This is the BEST carrot cake in CT. We have had carrot cake every year for birthdays and wedding anniversaries and I can genuinely say this is the best we have ever had.The service at this bakery is top notch. Highly recommend this place.
