Great place, feels cozy. The staff was outstanding and they were busy, so that says a lot for me. Definitely going there again for sit in and take out.

There is quite a bit that I could complain about...I'll just leave the review that I tried to leave on the website and couldn't because it was down. Our visit was to the Short North location in Columbus, OH. Sort of should've expected this... When visiting on October 18, we arrived into the location with tables open and very little staff available. The bartender came around and greeted us advising that it would be 5-10 minutes for them to clear off another table for us. At the time, 4 seats were open at the bar, she did not advise that we could sit there. Not more than 30 seconds later, a group of four walked in, sat at the bar, and had their drinks before we had even been seated. Upon being seats about 12 minutes later, we proceeded to sit for another 7 minutes before anyone came to our table to offer drinks and ask for our order. Jess or Jen, we couldn't remember her name, approached us and offered water and took our order. At the time of ordering, we have been in the restaurant for about 20 minutes. 35 minutes later, I had to stop our waitress to ask if there was an issue with our appetizer. She advised that she thought there was an issue in the kitchen and went back to check. When she came back, she had told us that the deep fryer was having issues and that the line cook was on the phone with the manager to try and resolve the issue. I told the waitress if there was an issue with our appetizer, that she could cancel it. She came back saying that the fryer was down for the night and that we could not have the appetizer, or the GF chicken that we had ordered, but could have grilled. In my mind, I cannot possibly imagine how in 35 minutes, she couldn't have told us that there was an issue and why there was a hold up when she knew that we had somewhere to be. So when she had advised that the food wasn't going to be what we had ordered, we said that we would take our bill for the beer that I had ordered and said that we would be leaving and that we wouldn't be getting our food. After this, she ran my card for $54, which was likely the cost of our food, 8.64 for my beer that I drank and another 8.64 for the beer that I had ordered before we were informed that we wouldn't be getting our food. Once the bill came out, I took my card and we proceeded to head for the door. Once I took my card and sat the clipboard with the bill on it on our table, our waitress snidely remarked that "it wasn't her fault". In all my years of dining, I have rarely ever not left a tip. The only tip that I would have had for her would have been to inform your customer of the situation, knowing that they're in a time crunch, and what the situation is instead of making them wait a total of 55 minutes, leaving us with 10 minutes to walk to where we needed to be. I have never been more frustrated with how a waitress had handled a situation and that she had no interest in our situation and only cared about the 1.46 tip that I would have left for her because all we got was a beer, no food, and a terrible headache from our experience. I would hope that a restaurant would be more caring, but I left with a terrible taste in my mouth from the service and made every effort that I could to make sure everyone that we came in contact with that night, knew what had happened. I hate to be even writing this two days later and would have hoped that I felt differently, but I'm as angry and upset now as I was leaving Saturday night. I do hope that others never share in this experience and that it was a very one off kind of situation. I also hope that a learning lesson could be have with the waitress that just didn't care about her customer's time, money, or plans.

Greasy and good burger.
Hi. Made an attempt to visit your location at Easton town center in Ohio. Arrived around 630 pm and we were happy to see they weren’t very busy as we are from wv and were leaving for home after dinner. Despite having less than 10 tables occupied, we were informed they were not seating because the kitchen was very backed up..she said we could check back in 30 minutes to see if they were seating….we decided to have a fantastic dinner next door at pies and pints. We returned to Columbus for a concert the following day 9-14 and decided to give the downtown location a try. Only 2 tables occupied. We have a super unenthusiastic server who introduced himself by listing the things they were out of but not his name (which was Jacob). Restaurant was out of smash burgers, Philly sandwiches, tequila, and straws. What we were able to order was just not the quality we had expected. We tried twice with a bad experience both times. Tried to contact bareburger via their website but each time met a server error message. Therefore I decided to post here.
The smash burgers are out of this world!!
