I ordered from here for the first time today through the Wonder app and had high hopes. Unfortunately, the order was handed off to the driver with no safety precautions—beverages weren’t sealed or bagged, which made me uncomfortable and worried about tampering. They also weren’t in a temperature-controlled bag, so by the time they arrived, the drinks were watered down from melted ice. The Matcha latte was decent, but definitely overpriced, as was the coffee. The breakfast sandwich was a huge disappointment—the bread was tough and tasted like old reheated bread. It was literally three bites, and I paid $8.30 for it. Overall, not worth it.

We were on a driving tour of the CT shore and one stop was our favorite coffee house in Darien. We have been coming here for several years.
Sandwiches are delicious and we also always get a muffin or two. Their coffee is the best around.
The vibe of this place is what keeps lots of us coming back time after time. Some of us just eating, drinking coffee and relaxing and others working on computers.
A great place to hang out.

I did an uber pick-up and was in a slightly bad mood picking up as it had not been made yet and it was like 30 minutes since the order was placed. I quickly changed my attitude when the women working were trying their best to keep up but still so lovely, apologetic, and professional. Makes you realize, your delayed coffee is worth the top-tier customer service and the delicious coffee and macaroons. My first visit - won’t be my last! Bravo to the two ladies today and way to hustle!

I’ve always loved Cafe Nero, but this one just feels so cozy inside, and it’s above all the rest.

Worst customer service. I politely asked for drinks recommendations and they were rude and unprofessional. They did not want to help or serve their customers.

Great espresso and coffee (although overpriced) but leaving two stars because they keep the place absolutely freezing and the manager said “no fireplace in the spring”. Clearly they are cheap when it comes to turning the heat / fireplace on.
Darien outpost of the British coffee chain. Typical chain coffee, but the space is great for meetings, hanging out or working. Right on the main street, a short walk from the Darien train station.

I work nearby and usually spend my lunch break sitting at Nero. Most days I buy lunch and a drink and very few days I bring a homemade lunch and buy a treat + drink. I was asked to leave when I sat down with my 8$ coffee. I understand if that is a policy but have never experienced it before. I would have gone somewhere else to get coffee and eat my lunch had I known that. I am bummed about this interaction because I did really love going nearly every day.
