Nice little spot right off 95 and Connecticut Avenue. I went with the Texas burger and It did not disappoint. Nice salt and pepper fries as well. Not the largest menu but more than enough. Also tried some of the Lumberjack breakfast and the home fries are straight fire.

Met a friend for lunch this afternoon. She was held up, but they let me keep our table, even though it was pretty busy. Both of our meals were ready soon after we ordered and were delicious. Especially the herb home fries. And the coffee smells and tastes great. We had some business to take care of, and were there without being hassled for a few hours. We were the only ones left in the place! Very attentive service. Great halfway place for me to meet friends from the Bridgeport area.

Good shoestring fries! Easy to get to from highway. Menu limited compared to typical larger diners, but adequate. Service competent and business-like. Very clean restrooms.

Ordered the English breakfast and a bagel for delivery today. The food arrived after about forty minutes which was faster than I expected.

My boss and I decided to drive to this restaurant around 8:40pm since on yelp it said open till 10. We walked in and I said ""Hi" to two people with their backs to me. No one turned around and then I said "are you open for dinner" one guy turned to look at me then he turned and looked to the waitress to see what she would say. She then says "um one second" she goes to the kitchen and my boss says "we're not eating here" and turns to the door. This instance can happen anytime there is a slow time depending on the place you work at. If your slow and and hour or two before closing, you can mentally already be closed. If your slow, make the decision to just close, turn off the sign when you have decided in your mind to close anyway.
One of the best breakfasts I have had in a while. Absolutely delicious. Was here early on a Sunday morning. Very few customers, nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Delicious food.

Came here with me and my father had breakfast I had an omelet with cheddar side of home fries my father had the chocolate chip pancakes and coffee. The coffee was okay my father didn't like it my egg whites with cheddar we're okay. We'll have to try and come back another time for lunch but I have had worse since the new owners took over it's changed Different Strokes for different folks.

Second time we have visited this establishment and WALKED OUT. Their service is slow and the one Male waiter has a huge inability to handle multiple tables. We sat there for 20 minutes waiting to order waiting to even be acknowledged. We were given a "wait a second". Very rude and unprofessional to not acknowledge or apologize to the people in your section. We enjoy the food but have come to deciding to visit on whether or not we might have to deal with poor service. That's not how to run a business. Either train your staff better or hire more people. I'm disheartened and disappointed with the Driftwood diner thank goodness there are other BETTER options close by. Zero stars if I was able to rate that

Customer service here is more than terrible! Food is good but service is disappointing. This is the second time we've walked out of here because of being ignored. They sat us quickly but we sat at our table for 20 minutes before we were acknowledged to "wait a second". We saw three tables who came in after us have their order taken and we were furious. It seems to be the same Male server who has trouble juggling his tables and priorities. We like this place but its dreadful when you have to worry about having poor service and our concerns came to fruition. Disappointing and disheartening. Thank goodness for the Darien Diner and their ABILITY to handle a busy floor.

We ordered an omelette and a BLT sandwich. The omelette was just ok and the side of potatoes were unseasoned. The BLT was lackluster at best. There was hardly any bacon or lettuce and the tomato was not ripe. The sandwich was extremely dry, I had to ask for mayonnaise because it did not come on the side or on the sandwich. The french fries were good. The prices were extremely high for basic diner food. They should charge diner prices not restaurant prices.
