Stopped in and had the Jake burger which was great. I sampled the daily soup special which was a smoked bacon potato soup. It was one the the best soups I have had. The owner was terrific. The owner seemed to know it was my first time because the place was Full of regulars so I stood out. Great small place off the beaten path.

We stopped by this place for breakfast on the way to Cape Cod. It was a perfect meal - seriously incredible pancakes (get the maple syrup for extra!), crispy homefries, tasty omelette with buttery toast. We loved the pancakes so much that we ordered a second round but with blueberries.

Jake's place is one of the last standing old fashioned super friendly/American classic diners left.
Excellent, straight forward, friendly, good portions, good price, very tasty. Good to know that Jake's is here for a peaceful cup a joe and hearty fill up. My Omelette and Home Fries were great. Look forward to visiting again when Im working in the area.

Delicious lunch with your favorite local diner fare. Staff was lovely and they were getting ready to close for the afternoon and seated us and made a delicious meal. Clean and cute - reminds me of a childhood diner I used to go to. Small tables and a counter. We met Jake. He is lovely and very social and sat and chat with us a bit. Would come back. The grilled cheese was great. And the fries were perfect. Burger was great and accommodating for a dairy allergy. Hit the spot!

We are new to Darien, Ct, and luckily found Jake's Place and had a delicious lunch today, We were greeted in a welcoming and friendly manner by Jake who chatted with us and our grandson. The service was attentive and the food came out quickly. I had a sandwich special, my husband a chicken wrap and our grandson the kids hot dog meal. All were excellent! We shared a tasty rice pudding for dessert. Look forward to stopping in again soon for breakfast or lunch.

Was looking for a place for a delicious and convenient breakfast on the way home and found it at Jake's Place. Jake's is right off of I 95 - it literally took us 30 seconds to get back on the highway. The breakfast menu is basic but all the staples are there. The french toast was great and the mushroom cheddar omelet was loaded with mushrooms. Very attentive and pleasant service. Prices are reasonable. I will go back anytime I am headed down 95 south.
