Classic chain Restaurant food. Service was good; The food, another story. if you wanna drink and have something to fill you up , can’t go wrong, but at the best… mediocre.
The food was very good but I will not be returning. I spent $250 on dinner and they charged me $3 extra for blue cheese olives in my martini and also extra to substitute vodka sauce on my chicken parm instead of tomato sauce - I'm not sure how much extra - I was too aggravated to even look. It put a bad spin on the whole evening. What a cheap way to treat your patrons!!

I’ve been dining at Molto’s first location in Fairfield for years since I was in college, so I was excited to try their second location in Darien Commons! The restaurant is absolutely stunning and has the same menu we know and love. You can’t go wrong with any of their homemade pasta dishes or pizza, and you could make a meal out of their appetizers, like Italian tapas style. The short rib was cooked perfectly in our risotto, and the bolognese sauce for my pasta was delicious. Fantastic drinks too. Servers were very attentive and food came out quickly. We went early on a Sunday afternoon and it was a wonderful experience.

We like this place but I will say the food is inconsistent. Appetizers have large portions, but some times seem dishes seem soggy or just not special Some days seem better than others. The service is always fast and friendly though which is a plus.

We came for a cocktail and dessert and enjoyed both! It was quite busy but we were able to be seated immediately at the bar.
The food was delicious and drinks :)

The service was slow for a Saturday night. I ordered a chicken parm that came out cold. When I told the waiter, he took it away without saying a word then proceeded to bring me the same plate just microwaved after 15 minutes. It was actually disgusting. Will only be going to the Fairfield location from now on.

Food is just a pile of grease. Not just one dish but everything. Nothing tasted good. These are leftovers bc I couldn’t stomach them at the restaurant….

2.5/5 - Ehhhhhh, it used to be good. I loved this place when it first opened but the food quality has plummeted in the last couple of months. We used to go at least once a week (yes, it was that good!). The food used to be fresh and well-made. I loved their Arancini, Lobster Fettuccini and Blood Orange Margarita. Now the Arancini are smaller and taste stale and the Lobster Fetticcini has little to no lobster and it doesn’t taste fresh at all. The straw that broke the camel’s back was Mother’s Day brunch. I honestly left embarrassed having been the one to recommend going to there. The quality and presentation of the food was horrible! Besides being the most basic food I’ve ever seen, each brunch plate came with a side of fruit but they put the fruit salad right on the plate so we ended up with soggy waffles and toast and warm fruit. I ordered the lobster Benedict that day. It tasted like they dumped some frozen Lobster on an English muffin with a side of cold home fries.

Decent Italian food, busy atmosphere. A little noisy. We ordered a plain pizza, beet salad, ravioli and red sauce, pear salad. All okay

VERY disorganized and sloppy service. The proprietor of this new restaurant needs to get his act together. The food was okay (excellent fried mozzerella; the marinara sauce is just how I like it to be) but we need to try more before I’d commit to saying this place is worth the coin.
Parking: It’s part of a mixed use site that just opened. Parking is messy. And watch out for the dings to your fender.

on 4/27/24 I ordered 2 pasta fagiole soups, 1 tuna tartar $18 and lobster cobb salad $31. Soup was not the greatest. the shell pasta was swollen meaning it had been sitting and sucked up all the broth. Note I live within 5 minutes so no excuse for such. Tuna tartar was warm, off in flavor and definitely off in color. One bite told me not right. Lobster cobb had no dressing. i get they want to give you balsamic dressing but i asked for caesar. shame on me not checking but LUIS the manager said he packed it personally. where did the dressing go LUIS? I call the next day, as restaurant was closed and Luis apologized and said he would call me Monday. Today is 5/3/24 and I had to call him. He said take it up with Uber (i ordered through them but I picked it up). Wow. I don't do a lot of ordering out and will never step foot in there again except when i see friends who don't know the experience to get out. Shame on you Molto for not making it right when you were in the wrong.
