Old owners were amazing. Tried new menu and was still decent but they are never open!!!! Many times I’ve driven by or come to this location hungry only to find they were closed. This was my only pho place in the area I liked.

I’ve never been to a Vietnamese restaurant that doesn’t offer a spicy pho or include spicy sauce on the side. In fact you need to put in a special request just to get a tiny slab so tough to say this place is authentic..such a shame because there’s definitely potential here…Not sure if the owner believes the locals are scared of spice but that would be a grave mistake. Even if most of town dislikes spicy food i would argue most regulars of Vietnamese cuisine prefer it so they need to not sacrifice their core to appease the whiny few…if this changes i’ll update my review

Saturday afternoon looking for Pho place in Connecticut and found this place on Google map. It's not like the Vietnamese restaurants in New York, but the taste is as good. The portion is big (the waiter did warn us the portion was good for sharing). The shrimp's color was a bit redder than normal, but it tasted good because it's flesh. The calamari is different but very good too. It's a place that you can enjoy Vietnamese food and don't have to drive to New York (you know what I mean if you have to go on to I95?)

Their beef pho is something my husband and I constantly crave. We have not found it better in any other city we've been too. It is so darn good! Truly the best in town.Seriously though, their other stuff is fantastic too. We haven't had a thing we didn't like so far!

Great vietnamese food in town. I had a chance to try it for my first time recently. The service was great. Their staff is very knowledgeable and pays attention to the details. The food was also good. It was served in a reasonable time and was hot and tasty.

Always a wonderful experience! Excellent Vietnamese food with super generous portions. Seriously, your bowl of pho will be overflowing with noodles, fresh basil, and fresh Staff is super friendly too!

Great hospitality. You really have to visit them to see why the rating is so high. The food taste amazing, quick service, reasonably priced, huge portions. So refreshing!!!

I absolutely love this establishment. Their Pho is the best I've had. Sooo good. The staff is absolutely the friendliest ever also, and that is half the battle, right? Go and try it for yourself and then leave your own post here. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!!

After my visit today, I can confirm that I am no longer a “pho fan”. I decided to go to Pho Fans for the first time since the management changed and was extremely disappointed. Not only are the prices significantly higher, but the quality of service has also taken a SHARP decline. I waited about 40-45 minutes to be served three dishes. The manager/waiter apologized for the long wait and offered my party a discount, which we appreciated, but after accepting the offer, $2 were taken off of our bill — yes, you read that right — TWO DOLLARS. The quality of food is also not nearly on the same level as it was previously. Furthermore, the atmosphere has taken a turn for the worse; wrinkled black tablecloths have replaced the clean wooden tables, and the simple and easy-to-read menu is now borderline incomprehensible. It’s sad to see a restaurant that I once frequented end up like this — safe to say I will not be returning.

Authentic, incredibly delicious, the pho was rich and exactly what I was hoping for. All the dishes were expertly executed! Highly recommend. We ordered way too much food but enjoyed it at home for a couple extra meals. I was anxious to find a good pho and this fits the bill perfectly! It was fun to try several dishes and we were not disappointed?

We stopped at this place during our Cross Country Road-trip across America. This place has authentic Vietnamese food! The staff were very friendly, super nice and the price is super affordable. If you are driving by! A must stop restaurant!!!

Ordered last night for the first time under the new management. Unfortunately prices have increased and quality had decreased. The Pho was still decent and they’ve added some interesting options but the pork spring rolls are dense and less flavorful, plus you now only get two of them instead of four. We also tried the shrimp tempura which was chewy and lacked any flavor. Pork Banh Mi was also disappointing compared to what it was previously. We will give them another shot in a few weeks and update the review if things change but pretty disappointed as we’ve loved this place since they originally opened.

The original Pho Fans run by the very friendly Sherry and her aim-to-please crew will be sorely missed in Darien. It saddens me to see them go ... and it saddens me to see their superbly delicious Pho go with them. Five stars for them!I visited the new Pho Fans yesterday and was greeted by a very nice cashier(?) or assistant manager(?) and requested my usual Pho. The manager came out and gruffly said we don't have soft tofu - good luck with that unfriendly attitude, fella. I won't be going back..

My party of 4 dined here on a quiet Sunday evening, one of three tables seated. Service was very slow and the waiter appeared to be doing everything but the cooking. He poured us each 2 ounces of warm white wine from our bottle, suggesting he was also inexperienced. He announced they were out of rice, with no apology. Our entrees were bland and uninspired. My Pho with tenderloin and brisket only had brisket, in a broth that lacked flavor and was the color of dirty dish water. Not at all the intense flavors of your traditional Pho broth. We had to ask for the bill, after waiting 20 min. after our table was cleared. It seemed this place was not ready for prime time in all aspects.

If you step into a pho restaurant and cannot smell the charred onion and ginger, cloves, star anise, cinnamon, cardamom and all the other spices that go with making the soup...RUN and dont look back because this place is NOT a pho restaurant. But hey what do I know so walked in with an open mind. Wrong, the pho came out and the broth was so cloudy it looked like dirty water with noodles and for a whopping $18 was the worst pho I have ever eaten in my life! So sad that these people here leaving raving reviews have never had real pho. We also ordered some appetizers but unfortunately they also fell flat in taste and freshness.
