I ordered lunch and left a service tip on the tip screen even though there was no table service. When my order was ready I went to find a table and saw they were all dirty. I went to the counter and asked for the table to be wiped and the response was 'there is a box of wipes over there'. After insisting, they did eventually wipe the table but I will never return there.

The prices have gotten astronomically high and the service is going down hill. Sadly they can't seem to make a hot latte these days to the point I have stopped ordering them. Luck warm milk isn't what I am looking for.

Great options for eat-in or take out. We bought sandwiches for a boat trip and they were delicious.

5 stars for all these places we've been trying in and around New Canaan including this little gem of a coffee shop. Of course the coffee is good. Nice atmosphere. And New England charm.

Been here so many times and have not yet written a review! They have really good drinks and food! So far we have tried the following- kids chicken tenders- buttermilk fried chicken sandwich- breakfast burrito - roost English muffin sandwich - Korean cheesesteak sandwich - chopped Cobb- overnight oats - lemonade- strawberry lemonade - ice chai - mermaid latte (blue matcha)- vanilla latte- power green smoothie All is really good! You will be amazed on how tasty the food is - especially paired with the hot sauce! Of everything we have tried so far on the menu - the breakfast ones are definitely the fav.Although be prepared to drop a bit of $$. And they are a cashless cafe.

Salads look good, but I’ve always gotten sandwiches. Can’t resist the fabulous artisnal bread. A small number of tables; most customers appear to take out.

Food is good. Menu stays same and is not extensive so you'll find items you like or not quickly. Their Roost Egg on English muffin is our family's favorite though I prefer without cheese. If order a non-grilled or not-hot type sandwiches, request it made fresh (they're better & less likely to be bread soggy) as pre-made ones are available from grab & go display with salad choices. Most folks opt for pick-up & take-out. Few tables. Seating area bright & clean.Counter help could be friendlier as several of extended family have expressed this same sentiment.Payment - only sign that they do not take cash is at ordering/takeout. That is not a positive in my opinion.

So bummed! I really like this place and will keep going and I know food service is a hard industry to work in. But....sent my husband to get lunch for the family. My salad was great but my husband 's chicken sandwich was the worst sandwich I've ever tasted. And then to top it off the iced coffee was terrible, bitter and sour and the service was awful. So bummed bc he'll never go back. Mind you- it wasn't cheap!
