Glad to find another new place to enjoy. Just a quick visit but very nice atmosphere. Service was great. Caesar Salad a little too much cheese, could have been a larger portion for the price they charge....and only 1 anchovy???? But definitely want to come back for a full meal soon.

1020 is a very popular spot in Darien and 7 out of 10 times service and food is good. Unfortunately 1020 really falls apart when it gets busy. The confusion and stress amongst the staff makes for a disappointing meal. Just recommend avoiding a Friday or Saturday night because the restaurant cannot handle a busy crowd.

I was there for a small private event today and I was very impressed with the service, as well as the quality of food. The fried calamari was light, not oily at all, like it happens in some places. The short ribs were a must-have. I can see myself returning for that pampering of the taste buds, for sure. The silverware and dishes were clean and that can kill or increase your appetite (sorry, I work in the Food and Beverage industry, so I pay attention to details)
Parking: This is not at all the establishment's fault, but rather the town's. I did not find any parking spots assigned to the business itself. So, assuming that there are at least 20 customers in the Fairfield Bank, using their lot, other spots are saved for big businesses, which leaves some restaurants at the town's mercy.
