Came here for a large party gathering for lunch 11 people. Was a great experience, had a blast eating and drinking. We had oysters and clam chowder appetizers. The soup was New England style, creamy with chunks of ham, I added a bit of pepper and it was sublime. The oysters were kumamato and another medium size whose name is escapes me. The minuet was purple but excellent. The plentiful portions for our mains were fantastic. The burger (not pictured) was huge and cooked to perfection. The salmon BLT with avacado was amazing. The dark pumpernickel bread paired well with the creaminess of the avacado. The fries had a coating of something on them that was the only miss for me, I like super skinny shoe string fries. The Cobb salad was so good and packed with so much grilled chicken. We sat for a long time with family I had not seen in a while so I was happy we were not felt rushed to leave. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked with soap. Will 100% be back when I’m in town.

I’ve been coming here for over 30 years and usually love it. Just last week I had a great experience, so I brought a friend today, excited to show them one of my go-to spots.
I ordered my usual — burger and fries, extra crispy and hot. The fries showed up soft, lukewarm, and low-energy. Let’s just say “crispy” didn’t make the guest list.
Our server? Not exactly unfriendly, but far from engaged. He stopped by once in 90 minutes, so anything missing (like pickles or ice) we had to ask for — after practically sending out an S.O.S. with our napkins. To his credit, he did bring things over quickly once we asked.
Still rooting for this place — just hoping next time the fries and service are both wide awake.
