Darien classic! It’s brunch oclock baby! Keep the drinks and good food going and enjoy the atmosphere , took my girl here for her first and she had a mind blow and enjoyed her self . Great staff as well. The guys bring their dates and the women are happy, food comes out hot and fresh what else can we ask for

What a disappointment, we’ve been coming here since we were in high school with our family, friends and colleagues. We kept on supporting this establishment, all through the pandemic, enjoying the nice waiters and management who recognized us and our names, and welcomed us with open arms every time we came by for dinner or lunch, which was often. We’ve noticed especially throughout the past year that now some of the waiters, turned Bartenders, put on a very different face once they switch over to working at the bar. The Later the night, the drunker and louder they get. The atmosphere has turned from a cozy New England pub Into a dive bar atmosphere, where the bartenders rule, and the guests/clients don’t count, unless they tip big. Not too long ago we saw 2 of them both acting as doormen at a late night dive bar stile joint down the road. We heard it’s because the bartender works there alone and gives them shots for free for the extra protection service. We just don’t understand what happened to our good old Goose. Sad!

Small bistro in downtown Darien. Parking is in a lot behind the restaurant. We had a work mtg here and got a few appetizers to start. The zucchini chips and calamari were very fresh and had a nice crispy bite to them. The vegetable spring rolls were crispy on the outside but mushy on the inside. The main dishes we had were chicken burrata and fish and chips. The chicken burrata was good however the sauce was Over powering the prosciutto and the burrata. The fish and chips were freshly fried and had nice flavor. The staff was attentive and food came out a bit slow. The restaurant itself was a bit dark but not sure if it is because of the stormy day. They do take credit card and can for group Seating

The food here was surprisingly good and service is great! Has a pub type vibe which at first dissuaded me of going but now I'm glad I did! Also very kid friendly which I had not expected.

Great food, BUT, you lost us as a special events dinner customer a few years ago when you wanted a minimum payment of $1500 for our annual family dinner. When to a competitor where the food and service are just as good.

This is the first time I have ever taken the time to write a review, but my experience at this establishment warrants it. The entire experience was one of frustration. The staff seems to have no idea what they are doing and while having no clue, they are very rude. No one thought anything of leaving us for 40 mins with no drinks or anything...When we finally got the food it was okay, but certainly nothing special. Then we tried to get more drinks and dessert. Well, good luck with that! It was like we were lost at sea. No one ever came back to us with our drinks or to take another order. After 45 mins we called it. (The place was only about 1/4-1/2 full, so it is not like they were swamped) What a shame because the place has a wonderful look, and Darien needs good restaurants, but this place needs a major overhaul of all of their practices.

Had dinner there last night. Waited for 25 minutes to get our drinks. Staff is rude. Food is okay. There are better restaurants in Darien. Manager is nasty
