Vavalas is a 10/10! Great sandwiches and always good. I've been coming here for years and feel like it's only getting better. They have an app so you can order ahead and never have to wait - makes it so easy.

I go to this deli at least 3-4 times a week. I was at the deli to pick up the breakfast. I bought sandwich, juice and coffee. I took 4 extra napkins. The guy rudely asked why you need that many napkins for one sandwich. I thought he was kidding and asked, are you kidding? He said no and asked why I need that many napkins and he was very rude. I dropped the extra napkins behind the counter and the guy yelled at me to never come back again.

Good food, super fresh bread and a menu where everything on it is good.This is the Noroton, chicken breast, mozzarella, broccoli rabe and vinegerette.Tons of variety in the menu can’t wait to try it all.Glad to have found such good food so close to home.

I would like to order a bacon egg and cheese on a roll, hold the pork bacon and give me turkey bacon. Salt pepper and catch up as well hun. I am also getting a Snapple and a roll with butter and that’s it today. I am paying cash and I need it to go.

My family's favorite deli in Darien. We have been going to Vavala's for years and have never been disappointed. Danny, the owner, makes a point of getting to know the names of regulars. He always asks about our kids. The Italian sub is a favorite. The regular morning coffee is better than Starbucks!

I ordered 1/4 lb tuna salad, roll, and a side potato salad. they kept getting the order wrong and I needed to repeat it multiple times. they charged me $5.15 for the tuna salad and $2.19 for the roll (charged as roll and butter). I'm not price sensitive but it was the multiple times they got it wrong.

Best deli in the area. Awesome sandwiches and service. Definitely a must for lunch. My office really enjoyed it as well.
We’ve lived in the neighborhood for 30 years and been coming here just as long. Great food…not always perfect, but close. Around lunch time, the lines are often too long.

Food is sooo good! People behind the counter work quickly and efficiently. It gets busy but there is nevera long wait.They offer sandwiches, salads, desserts & they have a hot bar with stuff like chicken, rice.

Stopped here for lunch. What an excellent cutlet sandwich on a wedge. Top notch delis are hard to find and this is definitely one. Glad I found the place, will be coming back.
