I try to treat myself to their sandwiches once a week. As a native of New Haven area this is the only place that reminds me of the Italian delis at home. There sandwiches never disappoint and a great gem in the deep river area!

Greatest Deli in the state! Great personality! Oh yeah and the bread is the best.

This deli is fabulous! We have had five different kinds of sandwiches from their menu, and they are spectacular! The pastrami on rye is to die for. I believe that is called the Manhattan. All of the Italian themed sandwiches are spectacular. Once we ordered the eggplant Parmesan special, which was a hot meal. It was enough for three meals! they do a terrific job and are such pleasant people. I would like to see them stay in business. If the weather is warm, they provide outdoor seating. They have recently added some breakfast items and are open from 7 AM to 3 PM.

Such a great little place! The meatball grinder was so good! And the staff was extremely friendly, can’t wait to go back.

Really really yummy - the little pizza was perfection. Chicken cutlet was delish - we are so glad we stopped - owners friendly and approachable- this cute spot is now added to our rotation when we head down to our friends in Waterford! Worth the stop for sure. Next time we will get the homemade crinkle cookies!

The Nonno is, hands-down, the best Italian combo grinder I've found anywhere around, and one of the three best I've ever had anywhere. This is not a compliment that I hand out lightly.

10000% best BLT around. That was the best sandwich I’ve had in along time. Very worth the price. Lots of bacon and so deliciously crispy. On top of that they have Sicilian pizza!!! I’ll definitely be back. Everything was so worth it! Thank you very much! Great first experience!

I've been here a couple times now and both times have been killer. I had to get the 10" Nonno because you just can't say NO! I was offered to toast my sub for a new level of greatness and it sure was. Also try their awesome pasta salads and Sicilian pizza slices! 10/10 A++
