After viewing the menu, I decided we would share a Italian grinder that proved to light on the meat with the whitest iceberg lettuce I have ever encountered. In addition, the requested oil was minimal as were the spices. There will be no return visit.

Called for pizza at 3pm took over 20 mins with not only the person ( female ) who answered the phone but another person ( also female ) just to get the order in ( 2 lg pizzas one with 2 substitutes red bell pepper for hot peppers and pepperoni for roasted peppers ) the other straight forward pepperoni & bell peppers then they had an issue with our address ( had to spell Cedar Lake Rd in Chester not once but 5 times hello we are the next town over ) we were then told the delivery person did not come into work until 4i:15 and we would receive a call for directions by 4:30 we call back and no delivery person was in so one of the females said they would deliver our pizza . When the pizza finally made it's way to Cedar Lake Rd I went out with my husband to make sure the pizza was delivered hot ( warm was more like it but hungry we took delivery anyway as we do have an oven that still was used even with what was to be a day off for me from cooking ) when I asked if the woman was a new owner of Deep River Pizza well surprise , surprise , surprise She didn't understand English , so still not sure but boy Oh boy , could she count money ! Total order $54.75 inc. delivery charge of $4.00 plus aggravation ! NEVER EVER AGAIN ..... NEVER !

Delivery to Broadman house - where we sere staying for a wedding - looking for some lunch before the wedding and Deep river pizza delivered - literally - about 30 minutes - very good pizza and antipasto and salad - fast friendly delivery - fresh and hot - one of the few places that delivered very convenient

This place is so nice it wasn’t busy when we came but the person who took our order was sweet. I got the fried chicken BLT and man is it so good. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for something quick.

With that said, nothing about this place screams “Greek” to me besides the font on the menu and the Ακρόπολις on the logo (alright maybe a few of the specialty pizzas - moussaka and town hall, I see you. Gyros, ολα εν ταξη, relax.)Tonight I finally did it, I got the carne asada burrito that they had on special and it blew my socks off. For $12 (market rate for the area IMO) you get a huge burrito, wrapped and easy to eat, no dripping, they grilled it, tons of steak and avocado. Man oh man, it hit the spot and I’m just so happy I could cry.Deep River Pizza Mexican. I don’t know if anyone that works there is Mexican, I don’t know if burritos are inherently Mexican, I don’t know what I don’t know and I want to be better.What I do know is that people need to know about this.Chester, Deep River, Essex is grossly devoid of a Mexican spot that’s open late BUT this is at least maybe Mexican adjacent and open late enough for me (9 pm weekdays, 10pm weekends).Get down to Deep River Pizza (Mexican?) and get yourself a burrito. When I came to pick up my pizza, the gentleman who was in the kitchen said he accidentally burned my pizza and was in the middle of making me a fresher one. I've never had an experience like that, 10/10
