This is hands down the BEST Mexican restaurant in our area. We love their chimichanga and their white queso dip. Plus, everyone who works there is kind and really goes above and beyond.

On a Sunday afternoon we found ourselves in Deep River and decided to have lunch. Our first choice was just closing so I walked across the street and found this restaurant. I was looking for takeout for two so I settled on the non-Mexican portion of the menu and chose a meatball grinder that included carnalized (sic), onion, roasted peppers and mozzarella. It took a long time prepare, but worth the wait because it turned out to be both sizeable and delicious.
I had 3 soft tacos, no crunchy available. I had 2 ground beef and 1 shrimp taco. I always get disappointed when I go to a restaurant after seeing them online and there's no real seating. I had to wait too long to receive my meal and was disappointed in the size, seemed way small for the price. I would probably try them again if I found myself in Deep River again but I definitely wouldn't go just for this restaurant like I did this time.

Every time we’ve gotten food from here we love it! The space itself is clean, it’s a family owned and run restaurant, service is fast and food is consistent. So happy to have it near by! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was in town for the day with my niece and her hubby, and ran across this hole-in-the-wall restaurant. 2 of us each ordered 'street tacos' and they were incredible!! The provided 3 different dipping sauces - no matter your heat preference, they've got you covered. I like mild and the mild sauce was very tasty. I tried the medium, and it was good, too. The 'hot' was too over-the-top. I had the pork belly tacos - OMG!!!! Absolutely the best. The 3rd in the party had the Birria tacos which came with a bucket of au jus. We all shared, so I had a bite of that, and it was incredible, too. Service was perfect!! It is right on Main Street in a quiet/quaint New England town, and the outside seating is great on a nice day. GO HERE!!! Give it a try. What have you got to lose??? I live maybe 15 miles away (which is a long way for me to drive to get a meal), but I will be making special trips to this little gem of a Mexican restaurant!! Once again - JUST GO!!!
Honestly was not impressed. It was more of a take out place than a sit down place. They only have 4 tables out front. The burrito was soo bland. I got the surf & turf burrito. The chips & guac were good. I will say the staff is very sweet! Wish I could have given this spot a higher rating.

Tried El Bracero for the first time today and was absolutely blown away. Hands down the best Mexican spot I've found in Connecticut so far. The service was fantastic — the staff was super friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home. Everything was fresh, made to order, and bursting with flavor. We ordered a bunch of different dishes to try, and every single one was a hit. If you're looking for true, authentic Mexican cuisine, this is the spot. I’ll probably be back within the week!
