We had always heard great things about AM Bagel, so we were super curious to come check them out. We ordered their porchetta sandwich special and pepperoni bagel special that day, as well as a plain bagel with scallion cream cheese. My fiancé and I both agreed that AM Bagel quickly earned a spot in our top 5 bagel shops in the state! Absolutely delicious, and the staff handled the volume of the store well. We didn’t have to wait long at all, and it was nice that there were a few tables available to sit at. We can’t wait to go back!
These guys do some solid business! All the food is top-notch: the bagels, the cream cheese, the sandwich... all great. The coffee (iced) this time and last was a little off and weak. Could be the brand though. Oh well. Went by on a terribly rainy day and there STILL was a line outside the door 16 people long. Pretty much always busy. A pleasant surprise was a doorman! Polite, pleasant, and kept people moving along. Reminded me of when I was a bouncer. Took me 17 minutes to get to the door, another 6 to reach the register to order, another few for the sandwich (same as my last visit). The employees on the register worked hard and with a smile and kept things moving. Actually, it's the smile that is unusual these days and a welcome difference. Again, These guys know how to do solid business. I recommend grabbing a side of cream cheese for the kids... One was green and had... Wait for it...OREOS in it.Parking: For the business they do, parking is tight.

Terrible business the bagels you want aren't available even at 10 am on a Thursday. I drove a hour for a French toast bagel for them toNot have it it's a constant issue other day I get here an there closed because they sold out. Enough of the nonsense. I would tell any one don't drive for a long distant you'll be upset.

Great bagel place if you're looking for a delicious soft fresh bagel. They tend to sell out fast so get there early. Prices are good too which is a plus!
By no means am I the greatest expert on a bagel but I have had my fair share especially throughout CT . That being said for the Valley Area of CT and in most of CT the bagels here are probably the closest you will find to a traditional NY bagel . They are crunchy on the outside have a multitude of fantastic choices and the appropriate amount of seasoning on top . They are chewy and soft on the inside and I might say absolutely addictive. Found off route 34 in the small valley town of Derby the shop is set back in a small shopping center and office space. Parking at times especially bagel times can sometimes be tough but I promise worth the trouble to find a spot as well as the wait in what is mostly a pretty decent line. The line handled by the nicest off duty firemen you can find moves quickly and efficiently . Once inside you are immediately consumed by the multitude of basket filled bagels that you can see behind the counter , if you use Facebook follow them as they have weekly specials in sandwiches as well as whipped homemade cream cheeses. They carry all the significant bagel types and the plain is like a fresh Italian sourdough that is delicious . You will find salt / garlic / plain / everything / sesame seed / specials like French toast / jalapeño cheddar is a daily standard as well as the egg varieties in plain / everything. The shop has a few tables but really is meant to go . They have coffee bar / and all types of fresh made egg sandwiches with a variety of meats including Taylor pork. My go to is an everything toasted egg / cheese / sausage and bacon and let me tell it's a weekend standard . On top of the sandwich grab a bakers dozen of your fav and freeze till needed . We buy a bakers dozen but they are never frozen they don't last . Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays they are open latest 2 but it's usually sooner as once they are sold out they are done . Family owned and operated they work tirelessly to ensure you get a great product . You know one better lmk I will travel but this is very hard to beat . Oh my bakers dozen is mostly because I have a spoiled dog see photo who is also a bagel snob and will only accept A.M. and no substitutes as his morning treat ..

We picked up bagels for friends who were in town from NJ, they said it was the best bagel they ever had. Now when we visit them in nj we have to stop in to bring bagels first. Cinnamon raisin is so good. Normally there is a wait, and I say it's well worth it.

The best bagels I've had I'm the area. Bruegger's is good, but this is way better. I'm surprised there isn't more of a line, too. They're so tucked away that you might not know they're there, but if you do, it's really convenient. In and out with a dozen bagels and cream cheese in 3 minutes at 7:30 am on a Wednesday. (I do wish they were open Mondays & Tuesdays, but everyone deserves a day off)
Woah that sausage egg and Swiss with a hashed brown on a toasted egg everything bagel made me feel things I haven’t felt…in years. Gimme DAT BAGEL EVERYMORNING OF MY LIFE it was perfect. Thank you. Will be back.
