I purchased a Denise Austin walking pad online with BJs Wholesale thinking it would be better than a regular treadmill. I was so wrong! when I received it the box it was very beat up not only that it was extremely heavy, so I dragged into my door. took it out the box, did everything that I was supposed to do, I hit the power switch and nothing, nothing, nothing!!!, called the number on the papers for help, I got China said they would send me a link, ok! and what does this link supposed to do for me. Then received an email giving me instructions to take it apart, (you gotta F-n kidding me but they were not). I paid $561.00 for a defective so-called treadmill. Tried to call the Waterbury BJ's that's where it came from. They said they couldn't help me had to call online services; you can't find the phone number at all! it's worse than the phone company. Finally spoke to a women named Eve, I told her that the Denise Austin walking pad does not turn on and that it's a Christmas present so can they pick this one up and send me a replacement ASAP, she NO she couldn't do that. She would send UPS back to pick it up but did not say when and I asked about the replacement she said you have to go to the store and buy it there. I will never EVER EVER buy online from BJ's Wholesale, unhelpful, merchandise never works, I should've known better, my sister did say don't purchase online from them they are horrible. Well lesson learned. Like life isn't stressful enough now I'm scrambling for a Christmas present. VM

A friend requested I accompany her for a large amount of items she needed to purchase at BJ's. I was curious to see how it compares with other places I do frequent on a regular basis. I am usually loyal to Costco, and do enjoy shopping there when it's not too crowded. BJ's wholesale club was not crowded at all. People were friendly, and there was an abundant amount of parking available. However, the selection and cleanliness of this store was not up to par, with what I am accustomed to at Costco. I also did some price comparisons and for the items I checked, Costco prices are also more competitive.

We're regulars and love this location! The place is always clean and shelves are always stacked! The personnel is pleasant and we rarely have any issues finding parking. The propane tanks refills are super affordable and today, I discovered these delicious chips!

Has anyone else noticed that many of the prices here in Derby are higher than in Waterbury? I knew the gas was higher, but then I started comparing other things. Gatorade, a dollar more; same with Tyson chicken patties. Breyers was more too. What gives?

After leaving the Renaissance Festival, I stopped here to get gas. No wait, very convenienticared. Regular price is 4.39. I have the credit card from BJ's so I paid 4.29. Still way more than it should be, but the gas is the cheapest in the area.

I had the worst cashier experience. She kept telling me that I couldn't use a coupon. Come to find out she didn't know how to process it in the system. 2 other people who were supposedly managers also didn't know how to do it. I was so upset. I was purchasing pediasure for my toddler and I had my newborn with me, standing on this line for over 20mins to purchase 2 items. My saving grace was another cashier, a sweet young lady named Julie. Julie deserves a raise and needs to be a manager. She has clearly mastered the system and has great customer service. She left her line to help my cashier. THANK YOU JULIE!!

My wife brought home a rotisserie style chicken from there…. I have to say my son refused to eat the chicken because it was so dry. I argued with him in disbelief because how do you mess up chicken.. I ended up apologizing to him because as his dad I made him eat more. When I finally served everyone else and tried it my self, I was so disgusted I didn’t even finish it. I have never had dark meat be this dry. I literally had to wash it down with water to swallow. I will be throwing this out. How do you guys get away with selling this garbage. This had to be our all day and not cooked fresh. Costco is 100% better.

good job, mother's day, my daughter's first baby, just found it it was a girl and had a name picked. spent 20 minutes with the woman discussing the cake because they were out of a lot if stuff. then we get on mother day before lunch, and it's wrong! the baby babe was the whole point of the cake!

Pretty busy. Check out line was all the way to the back of the store. Best thing they had us moving pretty fast. Not bad for a Saturday morning. They were stocked better than two weeks ago.

I like this store and the variety, although the self-checkouts always seem to give people a lot of trouble. My one real complaint is that the bananas are SO green it's ridiculous. It's not even like some of them are yellow they are ALL dark green. Very unappealing.
