I was very pleased with the customer service. Being my absolute first time trying JM's, I was treated like an old friend. The person who took my order offered knowledgeable recipe similarities, yet maintaining my original choice. It was the very best sandwich I've had. Keep up the great work guys, you're batting 1,000! I will definitely be back!

Guys was making my sandwich. Holding a phone, writing with a pen, and upset because I asked him to change his gloves in a nice manner…then said to the next customer “can’t please everyone”

I have never seen a place go to the extent of prep that these workers did to ensure my wife was safe from a gluten allergy. Literally wiped down every piece of equipment and surface that her food touched. I was picking up for her but I know she’d be super appreciative of the care and concern for her allergy. Most people don’t take it seriously. Thank you guys!
Decent Subs put a little skimpy on the meat and cheese. It was packed when we were there but the service was still good
I didn't get what I ordered

Staff is so nice here!!
I ordered online and everything was made to perfection they even wrote a sweet message on my bag, which can mean a lot to a customer. You may not know what a customer is going through…As an employee of JM, this was amazing service.and staff was friendly not only with myself but all customers in store
This review is of the Derby, CT location for all the celiacs out there who need gluten free/allergy safety protocols.
I went around 1:30PM on Sunday, Nov 24, 2024.
As a chain, I experience Jersey Mike's to be be a little hit or miss in terms of precautions. Today I stopped at the one in Derby for the first time and really appreciated how thoroughly and attentively the staff person helping me followed the safety protocol and even politely called out/redirected other staff who were making a to-go order and started doing things that could expose my food to gluten.
Obviously it may not have gone as well had one of those other less attentive staff members helped me, but this woman seemed like she might have been in a leadership role, so I feel confident going back.
I made sure to be the last in line and not to go during a rush, but I was impressed at the time she took to get it right. Even my teen took notice and said, "I can see why you come here, mom."
As a vegetarian who loads my subs with veggies, the riskiest thing about Jersey Mike's for me is that most of the stores keep most of their veggies in a shared prep area where people put veggies on gluten-filled as well as gluten-free sandwiches. This is the case in the Derby shop too, but I noticed that the staff person helping me specifically did not pull my veggies from the top, but chose to go in more untouched areas of the bins and under the top layer. I really, really appreciated that.
Jersey Mike's uses Udi's sub rolls for gluten free subs. I am holding out hope that a better gluten free sub roll eventually will be available. The Udi's rolls can be on the dry side (I just use more sauces to counterbalance it), but subs are one of the things I miss most from before having celiac, so it hits the spot. Plus I love having a "fast food" I can actually eat, and it is both tasty and a healthier fast food option. I find myself going to Jersey Mike's more and more. It is pricier than I might like, I am guessing because the Udi's is not cheap, but as we celiacs know, it is worth it to have things we can eat out.

First time at this location I usually go to the Shelton one so I was standing in line and the crew member taking orders act like he didn’t see a black person standing in line trying to get service he totally didn’t acknowledge me standing there with my kid but he acknowledged the two white men standing behind me, cause he took their order my first and last time definitely zero

Average sandwich shop, staff was very friendly. Meats are sliced fresh.
Vegetarian options: I was surprised to see more than 1 choice. Got my hubby a portobello sub. They put on too much hotsauce!
