Overall it's a fine store, typical of Panera. Very polite helpful staff. The only issue was the price and portions of the food. My wife and I both got the two for two with fountain drinks and we ordered a small mac and cheese with a juice box for our toddler. They don't offer a kids menu anymore. The bill was around $50! I know inflation is driving everything up, but to me that's a lot of money for two and a half people at Panera.

I've been to this location a couple of timesI've never had any issues. I ordered the pick 2. Turkey bacon bravo never disappoints, and I chose the french onion soup, which is really good. I also ordered a half salad, which was good, but 8$ was a bit too much. Will definitely return. I enjoy Panera because it's a lighter option for lunch or dinner!

This was only my 3rd time ever eating at a Panera Bread. 2 out of the 3 times they told me they ran out of BREAD!!This time they said they only had enough to make half of my sandwich. Like what!!? This is totally unacceptable for a place that has the word "Bread" in their name!This would be like Taco Bell not having any Tacos... Or Pizza Hut being out of pizza.They need to get their act together! 2 out of 3 times I go they are out of bread.They should just change the name to Panera and scratch the bread part off the sign outside.Most likely will NOT be going back.

The cashier was AWESOME, I didn't catch his name but loved him, what a great personality! But once I ordered & went over to the pick up area it turned into some nonsense lol I only wanted a piece of cheese on my 1/2 turkey sandwich & although the cashier added it to my order he forgot to charge me. The food prep girl said I can pay her the $1.29 if I want the SLICE of cheese added. Then another worker person comes up backing her up saying yeah because they're really not allowed to add anything to duet orders (soup/sandwich). I was like $1 for a 1/2 piece of cheese? She was like yeah I gotta charge you, he didn't charge you. All I had was my debit and credit cards and I was not swiping for $1.29 cheese lol there shouldn't have been any fuss over one slice of cheese. If it were me behind that counter I literally would've just thrown it on my little 1/2 sandwich because 1 -its not that serious 2 - it should be a crime to charge ppl that much for ONE slice of cheese 3- a customer satisfaction move would've meant more in that moment. Its not that crucial but I won't be going back to this location just on principle. I'm all set.

As per usual they mess up my order, ordered a pick 2 with mac and cheese and gouda melt, then a separate large mac n cheese. they forgot to give me the 2 mac and cheeses and ended up with just 1 melt. worst panera ive been to consistently.

At about 3:00pm Saturday 23rd I went to this Derby location drive-thru ordered a steak and white cheddar on a asiago bagel. I was told that they do not sell steak at this location because this location is an express location and does not sell the full menu?! Good to know ..Even though I see the full menu including steak on the Derby website menu??!! Go figure??!No need to ever go back!! Why waist my precious time with all the restaurant selections in this Derby/Ansonia area .. I say flip the entire crew including the GM or close down so we can have a new better restaurant in this spot!

The person at the cashier register didn’t even say hello to us and just starred at us after my mom just forced a hi how are you she said absolutely nothing after a 2nd my mom asked for the manager she stormed off and then hid on the side of the wall and starred at us. Then the manager came in and my mom explained what that happened about how she didn’t greet us. Just give a rude smile to us. And then he gave us some lazy excuse and said is that really the problem here. and then she gave a rundown about how customer service should be and how we’ve been coming here for the past four years. The staff here used to be much better. I don’t know what has changed. The manager apologized and acted as if he understood the problem even though I don’t really think he did, and he really didn’t care he was just trying to sugarcoat things. and then my mom said we’re never coming back. I said have a good night just to try to be nice and then we left. We went to the one in Shelton afterwards a nice man named Charles and I forget the other ladies name much better service friendlier and the place is cleaner. Go there instead of this dump hole with a bunch of a holes. I should’ve recorded the whole thing and uploaded it to YouTube, and other outlets to spread the word about this place. that’s because I’m nice. You’re very lucky. Also and one more thing clean the place it’s dirty.PS I only picked those options because google reviews doesn’t have a none option.

It was a busy Friday night. They were out of items and everyone was stressed. However, the employees all worked as a team. There was clear communication and the employees were flexible helping where needed. The manager was running food to cars waiting outside, taking orders, and whatever else he could do to help. That is leadership! Keep up the great work everyone!
