They're good but not great. Their pizza dough is missing something. Not sure what.
But if you're in Durham, this is probably what you're getting anyway.
Parking: Small lot, could be difficult to get in and out in a Suburban or something

This was our first time at Carmine’s which was recommended by a friend. It was the most delicious pizza with great tomato sauce! Super thin, soft yet crispy! Purely Amazing! My favorite was the tomato, basil and garlic. Most importantly my son has food allergies and they shared with me their protocol of making the pizza in a certain area of the kitchen and cutting it with a clean cutter. This alone made me super happy as a parent! Highly recommend!

Consistently great food, good portions, and moderate prices. Only gripe is that when they are swamped, you may expect a minor detail of your order to be wrong. Definitely worth visiting.

My fiancé and I stopped at Carmines on a whim coming home from the beach. We ordered a small mozzarella pizza and steak panini. I should preface this by saying that I am very picky when it comes to pizza, and Carmines’ pizza did not let me down. The pizza was excellent in all regards. My fiancé’s steak panini was also delicious.
It’s mainly a takeout place and their storefront is clean and well organized. You can see somewhat into the kitchen area and it also seemed very clean back there. Inside they have a narrow high top along the window with some stools. We sat outside on one of their picnic tables.
Lastly, their prices are very reasonable.
I will definitely stop here again when I’m driving through Durham.

I’ve never been to the restaurant, but I tried one of their frozen pizzas today at Adams and it was absolutely fantastic. I live in West Haven and it blows the frozen competition pizzas that are local out of the park . pepperoni pizza Phenomenal for frozen, super thin crust. The pizza was delicious. II’m just shocked.
Carmine's catered our daughter's graduation party. The food was incredible, the service was great - Heath, the owner, delivered the trays himself. I can't say enough about how everyone raved about the food - sausage and peppers, chicken parm, eggplant parm (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!), salads, meatballs, and pasta. All fantastic! If you need catering for a party, Carmine's does an amazing job!

This was truly one of my best experiences with both food and customer service! The staff here is so kind and so warm. They were so welcoming and didn’t hesitate to strike up conversation. Not only was this a good start, the food was phenomenal. Everything we tried we loved!! Truly no bad things to say about Carmine’s!!!

They serve up a damn good slice!! Especially for the price. Not a sit-down place, but a countertop and a few stools and a couple picnic tables outside. Definitely going to try a whole pie and other items.
