Best fries ever. Best chicken Caesar wrap in this whole world, and I’ve had a lot of chicken Caesar wraps. Thanks for what you do.?

I recently visited Hard Hat Tavern on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, and while our server, Dante, was an absolute pleasure to speak with and provided excellent service, I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The wait time for our food was much longer than expected, especially considering the restaurant didn't seem particularly busy. When the food finally arrived, the quality wasn't what I remembered from previous visits and the flavor seemed off. It feels like the standards have dropped since the last time I was here, which is unfortunate. While the atmosphere and staff, particularly Dante, were great, the slow service and food quality left much to be desired. I hope this was just an off day because I used to really enjoy this spot.

If I could give this place 0 stars then I would. Our server looked like she didn't want to be there, we weren't given utensils for over half an hour until we asked for them, she wasn't super knowledgeable about the restaurants menu because we ordered the lobster bisque which she said yes to having and apparently they havent had it for months, we tried ordering the buffalo chicken dip and they didn't have it. By the time we put in another appetizer our entrees came out (which came 5 minutes after we got our 1st appetizer)
Do not order the fried chicken sandwich because it indeed is not fried and if you try to put in a complaint about it with the manager he will argue with you and tell you that you're wrong. I will say though that the only thing I enjoyed during my time there was my water and waffle fries. Highly do not recommend.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp near handicap parking, however the door was locked. Thankfully I had an able-bodied person with me who was able to go around to the other entrance, and ask for the door at the top of the ramp to be unlocked. Otherwise the restaurant would not have been accessible.

Cozy spot with good comfort food! I really love the vibe here, especially visiting in the fall - the decorations were adorable! Their new fall menu and drinks are perfect for the season, and it’s a nice spot to come watch the game. They even have a really good BOGO happy hour deal on wings that’s worth checking out! Some of my favorites were their signature doob style wings, loaded nachos, and the sweet potato fries with a unique marshmallow sauce! The personal pizza was really tasty too.

Nice atmosphere. Looking forward to a cute place to have dinner Thursday evening but… sat down for over 30 minutes.. no service at all not even a drink order..then left … very disappointing just came back home.

As a non resident of the area,I found the Hard Hat Tavern as being a friendly, easy going establishment where either dinning in or taking out the food is of the best choice with a great variety. My photos are of a personal nature so I am reluctant in posting them.

Kid-friendliness: We had a toddler with us so her accomodations were asa good as you would find in most restaurants.

Wheelchair accessibility: I viewed a walkway as entering and very easy to navigate if one required a wheelchair.

Tried this place twice and the service was bad both times. The seafood menu was pretty good the first time, but the last time the steak and cheese wrap was inedible.

I rarely write a review but… I ordered dinner for pick up and .. that must have been the best chicken caesar salad I’ve had in a looong time! The chicken they served was grilled into perfection! 5 out of 5. THANK YOU!

The food is good here but ordering takeout is a gamble. Sometimes it's what you ordered and sometimes it's completely wrong.

Food was perfect on a Saturday afternoon. Two of us ordered a gluten free bison burger, cooked as asked and steak & cheese wrap. Only set back was slow service but totally understandable because there seemed to be only one waitress and one bartender. This place is a gem, will be back.

We have been to Hard Hat many times and generally enjoy the atmosphere, drinks and service. However, the food, especially take out, is hit or miss. Three stars as the employees and service have been good, but for how inconsistent the food can be, two.

For example, we ordered medium rare steak frites, extra crispy doob wings, fish tacos and the summer cookie special.

While the wings were perfect and still crispy when we got home, the steak was quite undercooked, the fish tacos were missing lettuce and the summer cookie special cookies were unfortunately stale and hard.

That being said, we have had other times where the food was perfect. I love the meatloaf entree and the chicken parm is tasty too.

We waited almost 10 minutes before anyone came over, this was probably because there wasn’t a server assigned to the dining room. They seemed to all have tables in the bar area as well, so he probably didn’t even know we were there. I ordered a fried goat cheese ball salad with steak tips. The salad came out and there was no goat cheese on it so the server came over, went back into the kitchen, came back and said we are out of goat cheese. Strange time to let me know, but I asked for some Gorgonzola and he brought it over, I ended up taking two bites and not eating it because I only ordered it for the goat cheese balls and the steak was beyond rare that even my husband wouldn’t eat it. They took nothing off our bill and didn’t say anything or offer us anything. Oh they also told my daughter that the Coke and Diet Coke were broken, and then they proceeded to give the table behind us two diet cokes..

Everything was great, just the lighting was really bright and in your face. The buger was good, and the chicken tenders were great too. Friendly service.
