Reluctantly, I feel I have to give this place 2 stars, based on the service as well as the cocktails. The young man who waited on us couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. Other wait staff worked diligently for their tables. Definitely the service here is good. And cocktails? Had a margarita that was, simply, excellent. And I've had margaritas in lots of places, including parts of Mexico that are proud of their margaritas (and in most cases, rightly so). So TJ's gets 2 stars, for both of those things. Anything less would be unfair. As for the rest of it? Sigh. Had the "tinga" tacos (that's a kind of spiced chicken). There wasn't much in the way of spice. Actually, it was bland. And the chicken came in a couple huge chunks, not shredded, pulled, or in thin strips as you'd expect in a taco. Additional ingredients we'd requested in the tacos were all but non-existent. Empanadas were thoroughly soaked through with grease and also tasteless. I've seen and heard people in the area rave about TJ's, but having been there a few times, I have to say, I just don't get it. Nothing about the food they serve justifies those raves. Especially considering how much they charge for it. Without question, we will never go back there. And why? It's not only the lackluster and overpriced food. My friend was about to enter the ladies' room when she saw a man in there! She reported him to staff; but tell me, how does that happen, when he had to walk between the bar and a service counter in order to get in there? There's no way he wasn't seen going in. None. There are too many other places in the vicinity which have better food, offer a much better value, and (above all) don't have men doing their business in the ladies' rooms, for us ever to bother walking into TJ's again. If you've read the same glowing reviews I have and think this is a place you need to try, please save yourself the trouble and reconsider. You can't say you weren't warned.

This is a fun spot for tasty "Meximerican" food and margaritas. It's got the busy, slightly chaotic vibe of a popular local joint — the place was packed and rocking on a Saturday evening (literally...a live band came in, set up and started playing while we ate).Things to know before you come:1. They apparently take reservations, although that's not noted on their website. Would definitely have taken advantage of this had we known, but the wait wasn't bad and they have a good texting system in place to let you know when your table is ready.2. You can order and pay from your table by QR code, which took us a minute to realize. Still not sure if they have regular waiter service...it was a bit confusing.

I'm in love with this restaurant!! The service was great! The food was great! The energy felt great! We came early and had a good table for 5 persons. The coffee flights were a smaller size, maybe 4oz each so it's great to consume for one person. If I'm not mistaken the flavors swap out often so best to run when a new set is posted on instagram. I was able to have the Girl's Scout theme flights and it's so yum!! I asked for a recommendation on the most popular dish which was the Morning After Burrito and it did not disappoint!! Every bite was so delectable! I especially loved the salsa verde and hash browns in it!! We left mid-morning and it was picking up quite a bit. Definitely an establishment worth visiting on all times of the day!!

Very dry taco shells very over cooked meat and not nearly enough filling. When the drinks came they were total ice and server would not send another. Every dish we ordered was disappointing and tasteless. This is not the old

Over priced!!! I love supporting local small businesses but damn $18 bucks for a bland burrito is robbery.

Placed a to-go order for 2 breakfast burritos. Modified one to not include pico or guacamole and received two burritos with no meat in them at all! If your chef can’t remember to put protein in a breakfast burrito (especially at $15 a piece) then you should fire him on the spot.

OMG! The birria tacos are the best I've ever had! This is a cool little place that could be easily overlooked if you didn't know about it. The service was pretty slow, but we arrived at peak time on a Friday. All the bartenders and waitstaff were hustling. It was definitely worth the wait and long drive to get there.

Yummy place to try. We got in pretty quickly around 1130am for lunch. Our table was a bit dirty and it took 20 minutes to get our check (I had to go up to the register and request to pay there) but the food was very good ans the staff was nice!

Arriving for lunch, easy parking, and the place was about 1/5 full. We grabbed a booth, and the server greeted us warmly, with a pitcher of ice, cold water, and the menus. The menu was extensive, easy to read, and fully explained what each item was. Cocktails, along with other drinks were on the other side of the menu. Chips and salsa arrived almost immediately. The chips were homemade, and seasoned to perfection. The salsa was bland. It needed more spices. I ordered the TJ burrito, my dinner lunch guests ordered two beef tacos and a burrito, respectively. My TJ burrito was good for $16. But here was the problem. It was Luke warm. Tasty but that's about it. I also ordered the iced coffee flights. Four smaller iced coffees arrived. They all were flavored. These were delicious. At $15 for the four of them, I'm not sure the price point was correct. It seemed expensive. Restrooms were clean Lunch for the three of us with the tip came to $81, which included that coffee flights, with no soft drinks, or alcoholic beverages. This is the third time I've been here, and it's always been mixed with the quality of the food. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the review, it's a good place to try at least once.

The one star review is for the distasteful service that myself and 2 friends had this afternoon. My drinks didnt come until after all of our food was done, granted I had to ask for them. Our food all came out at drastically different times even though we ordered at the same time. Did not get utensils or napkins until I asked for them two different times halfway into our meal. Never got checked up on if we needed more water even though our pitcher was empty the entire time or if everything came out alright. The food was good and the scenery was attractive but for the lack of service, I wont be returning here. I also work in this industry and understand when it is busy but today didn't reflect that.
