This place is proof that even the quietest places of CT still have the phenomenal pizza. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. If that doesn’t make you want to eat there try the burritos or the tacos.

Its great that there is a new local business but quite frankly the pizza is overpriced, especially for the size. (Small $18 & Large $27 + tax) The owner claims their small is "the other guy's medium." False, unless the other guy is Digiorno. Everyone has a preference, so if you like your pizza thick, chewy, and slightly undercooked, you found your new spot, but beware...they cut a round pizza into square pieces by default. That's not smart business, considering that a poll conducted on pizza cut preference says 73.8 percent of poll-takers openly prefer triangular slices, while only 15 percent of poll-takers prefer square cuts. My wife has insisted we try this place 4 times now, and each time I've been unsatisfied.

Ordered take out Pizza and a Greek salad and sadly the food experience was so bad I won't be coming back. The salad was overloaded with pepperoncino peppers (banana peppers) and kalamata olives. So much so that all you tasted were condiment juices that overwhelmed the palate. Even after taking them out you could still taste them. The salad was mostly Romain lettuce and feta, with hardly any tomatoes or cucumbers. No arugula.
The pizza was terrible. One of the worst IMO. The crust was very thick and unevenly cooked.
The undercarriage was cooked but it was very mushy. No crisp! The worst part was the crust had this horrible metallic taste... like the inside of the oven it was cooked in. I've never experienced this before. It was so bad I ended up throwing the whole pie out. Best of luck to the new owners.
when l got home with my pizza l discovered that the crust was completely black underneath. they sent a new one out which was tasteless. lve decided to never go there again. there is no way they did not know what the crust looked like
I ordered out but wish the crust was crispier

The pizza is never cooked through. It is always doughy. We have ordered out a few times thinking they would get a hang of making pizza but they haven’t yet. When we tried to eat there for lunch, we walked out because it was dark and no one was there. I don’t recommend eating here or getting takeout.

Update experience at Mateos Taco's:The pork carnita tacos three pack at $20 my first time was fairly tasty and fair portion. I went back three more times and had various experiences with the tacos as the pork was more of a pulled pork instead of what you typically get in a street taco it was very salty. Also the meat was very wet and all my tacos fell apart on the first bite because they were so saturated. The beef street tacos were also very salty. Thr chicken empenadas are good but i dont think theyre made on premises. It's frustrating as you want this place to do well but I just don't see it. In total I gave them my business on 4 occasions and I think I'm done. I hope they improve truthfully.Ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and onions. It was inedible, salty with a vinegar after taste. Really disappointed wanted it to be good as a local. Pizza was also very expensive at $38. Can't have bad pizza for that price point hope to see the quality turned around and would like to give another shot when that happens.

First-time customers ordered a large pizza with toppings. the actual size was more like a medium. Pizza was overpriced at $30, average at best. Will not go back.

They redid the restaurant and also added a Mexican restaurant on the other space. Must try
